hhmmm... after reading this agonizing, somewhat depressing thread:

...I've reworked my goals for the car

1) Suspension then 2) Brakes 3)Wheels and keep my car running w/o obsessing about power (who needs more than 300 hp anyway?

haha, that's too funny! I ended up reading that thread too, and it's very unfortunate that STInate went through that, sorry bud :-(

other than that, welcome to the club! if you do want a little extra, go high flow catted downpipe, catback exhaust and accessport for a reliable stage 2

The guy who isn't making 300hp you are making about 240+/- whp...

Go stage 2 HUGE DIFFERENCE!!! Should make about 300whp +/-

Brakes are pretty damn good kind of a waste to upgrade unless you track... you do have 4 pots.

Suspension is aways a good thing!

check this thread

Highly recomend doing a stg 2 setup for power and just keep it that way. Its far faster then factory and very safe. Im glad you guys can learn from my mistakes

I had fun building that car but I shed a lot of blood red and green.

Anyways as always if you have any questions let me know.

always upgrade brakes and susp before power. no need to have more power if you can't stop it.

our cars come with plenty enough power, but are lack in braking and handling.

??? 4 pot brembo brakes are lacking in brake power??? For the track maybe, for the street they are over kill. A set of decent pads and maybe some rotors and it would almost flip over.

Isn't the STI one of the quickest stopping and best handling cars out of the box? Stopping power almost to that of an ENZO?

These braking and handling numbers are pretty good for the street... heck even the track.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/112_0410_exotic_coupe_comparison/specs_price.html according to this the 09 wrx sti stops from 60-0 in 106 ft the 2003 Ferrari Enzo does the same... it has 651hp

Silly rally car drivers! JK I know what you mean... it is always nice to have more of anything (well when it comes to power, handling, and braking)
