Thank you, Lou's Custom Exhaust!

Just wanted to give a shout-out to / recommendation for Chris at Lou's Custom Exhaust in Portland. He welded the slip-joints for my Perrin header on Friday in about 15 minutes and didn't ask for a dime. I wish I had taken a picture, because the welds looked great.

I got the header on last night though (this is my garage back home) and the butt dyno is already pleased. Awaiting a new tune...

Don't be surprised when you start blowing out gaskets there is a reason for those slip joints and flex pipe on your manifold

Perrin admitted their old slip-joint design leaked and they have been welding them ever since.

hopefully he tig welded it or at least used SS wire or that's gonna rust out.

I didn't ask. I probably should have been a little more cautious. I got the header & uppipe for $300 though so if it holds together for even 2 years, I'll call it a win.
