Nigel, you have to use the image tags with the actual image URL... When in doubt, right click on the image and select "copy image url." If you're just copypasting the address bar, make sure it ends in an image extension (jpg, png, you know).

Control-Click, or you can set it in system prefs on the newer ones so that if you tap the trackpad with two fingers and release, it right clicks.

or you could get a real computer
