@69360 I'm still looking for a rust free car. I don't care where it is, but I'd rather not ship/drive it back from the west coast. I might consider down south. I'll just wait til' I find the right one, which meets all my criteria.

pretty sure that lambo door impreza is a brighton which would mean its fwd not awd. Ive seen pics of the dash and it has no tachometer that's why there is that huge drag racing one.

If it is indeeda 97 though, I don't think they were still making the FWD then. Wasn't it like 95 was the last year or even 94?
Edit: also the ad says it is AWD.

95 was the last year of FWD for the impreza, also only an option with the ej18 which went out of production in 95 as well.

Most likely no. That's not a FIA, NASA or Rally America cage, it's missing bars.

Maybe SCCA? I don't know the rules there.

If it is for the SCCA Street (stock) class, it would need to be bolted in, not welded.
