Haha yea... It's so pathetic on hills. And with the ej22 I wouldn't have to deal with the primitive FI system which has been annoying me lately...

And I can weld exhaust and everything, that wouldn't be much of an issue for me.

 
I can see getting really good at replacing front axles ... hahaha I'd love to get an RX transmission with the locking center, and swap diffs and and lo range stuff

 
Yeah that would be cool. If you drop that front crossmember down a 1'2 inch the axles would probably be fine as well

 
heh. buy outback for 1000. switch my engine for wrx engine. make sure it runs fine. sell for 1500.

you buy the outback, i do the swap and keep the outback, hows that?

^ I've always wanted one of those .... Someone actually swapped one of those engines into a GL. And they came in the wagon in other countries, I believe. A decent engine.

 
It's just an EA82 with 2 cylinders added. Not a bad engine, but not a lot of power out of them either for an H6
