The Official MS Bike Talk Thread - motors need not apply

Jim, would be great to see that double back inverted flip.(the same you pulled off in the woods in Cape) Maybe next Wednesday :headbang:

It's monday again... :violent5:

Who's up for a ride on Wednesday? It's looking to be the only day without rain/thunderstorms in the forecast.

The Weatherman says Wednesday is the "Pick o' the Week". So I'm definitely in.

I'd suggest SoPo/cape or Congin (shorter, but drains well) or the Urban (mix of street & trail). Let me know what sounds interesting!

Ok, that's two for SoPo/Cape. If you're fine with breaking a few access rules, we can leave from Hinckley Park on Highland Ave.

Otherwise same place as last time is fine.

I fear I'm out for this week - gotta finish packing for a Thurs. AM departure for Katahdin. Three sites in Roaring Brook are waiting for us

Has anyone ridden in Baxter? Is there anything worth bringing my bike up for?

Hinkley could be fun... Been years since I have ridden in there.

Jim, come join us, packing can wait, or do it tonight while it is raining..

I would rather be in the woods, so SoPo/Cape is my vote.
I just rode those trails saturday and they get a meh from me. I got wicked lost and found some neat singletrack, and tricky rock crawling, but the majority of the Cape E ride was just like doubletrack stuff. The wet roots made it tougher though

The river trail is pretty neat, and less rooty for the most part. The loops might be tough to do with all the rain we've had. Would you guys do a bradbury ride during the week?

I was at Bradbury Sunday. Wicked wet and sloppy. I was glad that I had my snorkel! If it stays dry, it should be ok come this weekend. I can do midweek up there as long as the start time is late (6:30ish)

If you want to figure out how to link up the meh trails, come out Wednesday.

Hinckley is technically closed to bikers, but we'll just use it to head out and come back.

SP/Cape trails do have some ok terrain, but if you know where you are going then it makes for great riding. I thought the same thing until I went with these guys on Wed. Come join Andy, I am sure you will not be dissappointed...

As for River trails, I like them, especially when it is dry, cause you can move pretty well.

I am game for Bradbury during the week.

I'm game for a rendezvous at Hinkley...

As for the river trail, i've only done tham at night. Never seen 'em in the daylight!

No way! Night riding is the best. Well, as long as your light works....

Locking it in: 6pm Wednesday meeting at Hinkley Park off Highland Ave. :headbang:
