The suxors.... Thule box too long!

I can open the hatch about half way. The real issue is that the wife forgets that the box is on the roof and just pops the hatch open and it hits the box scratching the raisin out of the edge of the wing. I'm thinking about putting some Rockblocker on there for protection.
