I could do a pretty good deal on a used rental bike. They probly won't stand up to much curb jumping. ;0 I'm here Mon-Sat 9/5

 
i'm looking for a beater bike that I can make into a single speed grocery store runner... I'm always afraid to park my bikes out in front of a store... too much at risk... even my commuter bike is 'appealing'.

You'll need a SS chain tensioner, won't you? As a suggestion... www.jamisbikes.com

 
i just need to pick up a Surly Singleator. i already have a bmx cog which I used when i converted my mtb to a single speed sans tensioner. It worked well but the chain would pop off on downhills. need the tensioner. my parts bin is quite large so i can pretty much build anything at minimal cost. i'd like to just buy a singlespeed but half the fun is building it. i'd get a bianchi though...

i take it you work in a bike shop?

 
Yeah, I own a small shop. I don't know about down there but sometimes there are some bikes taken to our transfer station up here that can be resurected(sp?)

Also I have a bike that fell off from someone's car/truck in front of my house. It needs a new front tire/rim. Might get it down here sometime to be fixed up!!
