Yep. The evolution of the RallyJeep and the Audi.

First up...the RallyJeep.

Her humble beginnings.

Then I gave her rabbit ears, a basket, and some little ricey fogs.

The rabbit ears soon mutated and multiplied.

I decided that the stock tires just didn't look cool enough, so they were replaced.

The back was then lifted a little...

...the front joined it many months later...

A few years after discovering rally...pieces began to fall off. The lights succumed to the stress first.

They were remounted...but a bumper corner ran away shortly after...

(Rallyguy may get weepy seeing this photo.)

2434663391_cb658e486b_o.jpg

Then the whole bumper fell off.

Bumper fixed, and more lights added!

Then Rallyguy and I decided that we don't like Michigan.

Fall, 06', Rallycross was discovered, roof gear ditched, the art of smooshing cones perfected.

(lift and larger tires still installed

Lift removed, new tires purchased, suspension shot.

Suspension fixed, people weirded out by a Jeep that Rallycrosses...

RallyJeep's mods:

Suspension:

-Bilstein HD shocks

-Jeep heavy duty front coils

-Jeep medium duty rear leafs

Engine:

-Rustys Offroad throttle body spacer

-Rustys Offroad cone filter adapter w/ 9" K&N filter

-Rustys Offroad 2.5" exhaust w/ Flowmaster 40 series muffler

-Reflashed ecu (Jeep ecu's are notorious for adjusting back to factory settings...it is probably back to stock by now)

-Optima redtop

That's enough to kill computers with dinosaur modems for now.

When I brought the pile of scrap home...yup

Spraypaint was found, ugliness ensued.

The turbo motor arrived.

(and hasn't really done much since...)

Updated with mods lists. The Audi has had way too much money dumped into it...and it's not nearly done. :confused2:

Aww...she looks so sad without her wing...

2443230923_63f3c0c96a_o.jpg

I was trying to paint today, but I ran into all kinds of sticky stuff that Audi used under the taillights that I'm having trouble removing.

Neat, Making progress. Looks good. All you need is a little liquid nitrogen to get that stuff off...

It does look funny without the wing!

Hey, so what happens with that diff lock vac switch now that the rear diff is rocking the "Warren special?"

Hmm... I would try a torch (propane like, just to heat it, not burn it) and a puddy knife. That could take off most of it, then a quick grind with the wire wheel would get the rest off. Don't know how easy it would be to get a puddy knife in there though...

The switch does nothing. That diff is perma-locked unless I go clip that cable tie.

Definately hard to park in my driveway while moving it around now. Doesn't like the low speed turn into the turn around, haha.

Yea, I might try that. Audi bolted, and GLUED the taillights on. Bastards. The taillights came off with some force, but unfortuately left some of the glue on.

Heh, try the ever-popular "spray-an-upside-down-canned-air" to freeze it off

I've also seen other people use dry ice to remove nasty adhesive...sound deadening, caulking material, and the like.
