So I got to thinking how I hadn't heard from Brad in years...so I googled his ass up and called.
Sounds like he's doing really good, he's been living in same town (or at edges of it) for almost 10 years now, putting his tank-drivin skills to work as heavy equip operator.
He laughed when I mentioned about how vets get lots of love from most ppl now, "*******in right. things are pretty different now."
He did mention he thinks it's effed up how soldiers get repeated deployments these days, when he was in the military it was in, boot camp, more training, then a year in Nam and boom, back home. he came back from Saigon to San Francisco, then had to fly civilian transport back home with only his smelly jungle uniform to wear. He said the stewardesses had to move people away from him 'cuz they were complaining about having to sit next to a soldier.
Big changes, vets seem to have at least some stuff better now.
