Wal-Mart

yeah.. any time I have to go there I am in a terrible mood untill I kick that exit door.

And, to try to save a trip, I was about to buy an oil filter there too. So I looked it up in the Wal-Mart book o' filters. Fram x3593x for a 2004 2.0L Turbo. That is WRONG!!! WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! How do I know? I looked at the filter they spec for a 2003 2.5L and it's the same! WRONG! They're different. Oh, it'll work... but it's way close to the header and you run the risk of torching your car. Which is why Subaru changed the spec for 2004+ turbos to a different filter that is smaller.

Pep Boys>Advanced AutoParts = Autozone

Pep boys in Portsmouth has a pretty good selection of just about whatever I want. I just wish they would start to stock the Redline lubes. They are a listed distributor but they don't have it on the shelf, but they have amn $18 bottle of mobil1 gear lube :

I used to go to PepBoyeez back in Pittsburgh. They have a good selection of parts. Their service blows though. Here in Maine, I typically get in the zone, AutoZone or go to NAPA if I want to pay too much. AutoZone has lots and lots and lots of Bosch stuff. I like Bosch.

I only go to wal-mart if every other retail establishment has been reduced to rubble. Even then I'd make it quick.

Was it the Payne rd Wal-mart? I walked in there one day and there was tons of cheetos and cigarette butts all over the entry way that had been ground into the mats and carpet. You could tell they had been there for a while and no one had bothered to clean them up. That and the fresh aroma of pop-corn and ass makes that one f the worst wal-mart I've been into. Only topped by the Rutland VT wal-mart. *shivers*

I have to admit I'm becoming a Target snob....the girls are much more attractive in there, for one.I'll pay $.20 more for a trashcan for that alone. ;D

I like Target for the fact that there are more than 3 registers open during busy times.

That and it doesn't smell like ass.

careful how much you badmouth Wally Werld on the InterweB...the blue-haired greeters at the door have laptops and surf constantly so they know who to beat up if they have the gall to appear at their store.

im pretty sure that the wal-mart employees at the biddeford one don't have laptops since most dont have an IQ above 50 ;D

stupid people can't have computers??
laptops are pretty expensive and if you make $6 an hr because your a greeter at wal-mart...... :

wow that is a pretty bigoted thing to say.

especially when representing a dealership. I bet you would be surprised to see how many dumb wal mart employees are customers of Patriot.

the reason the 2.5 and the 2.0 turbo have the same # at wal-mart IS BECAUSE "FRAM" DOESN'T MAKE A SUBARU SPECIFIED FILTER which is stupid.i usually use puralator 1 it is subaru specified and puralator make the mobil and mobil 1 filters so they are made for syn. oils also

Crack the purolator and a Mobil 1 some day, you will notice a difference in the bypass as well as the filter material.

I typically use the Purolator PureOne filter. But Wal-Tards doesn't carry that....

The store of which I speak is the Payne Rd one. If you want to see a worse version, try the one in Oxford. I thought I heard "Dueling Banjos" when I walked in...

I changed the oil on my lawnmower today. Momma was out in the rex so no oil change there.
