that's a shame. Beautiful dog, I'll keep you and her in my prayers.

she looks way too young to be dealing with that issue. peace to both of yez.

was watching "War Dogs of the Pacific" on Military Channel the other night, about Marine Corps dog platoons in WW2 island battles. Jeesh, when the Marines got blowed up it was like, "yeh, that's an occupational hazard." When a sniper shot one of the dogs, the Marines (and me) were bawling like babies.

Henri the spaniel sends his best...imagine a Dobie instead of the fluffy white dog with the hat

Very sorry to hear that man. Had it happen last year, my 12 year old German Shepard got bone cancer, a week later we put her down due to her suffering. I feel your pain, dogs def. become a member of the family.

Sorry man. Never easy to lose a pet. Having been through this a few times, I just chose to not have dogs anymore no mater how much I want one.

thanks for the well wishes guys.

thinks have been very very hard today. as bad as it is for me, my poor mother is having a much harder time. she's been crying most of the day. honestly, i'm maintaining composure only by a slim thread. . ..

taking the dog to the vet now, as she was having a hard time breathing the past couple hours, and her heartbeat is very erratic.

it's not "having a dog," that's hard--hell, having a dog around is the easy part. waht's really hard is having a dog become part of your life and depart early for reasons beyond anyone's control.

phil, don't resist giving in to grief, she's been a good friend and you both deserve the release.

sorry to hear about your dog.Dealing with losing a pet can be very hard,I can totaly relate....My oldest female german shepherd[pagan kye vonder sukee] has been diagnosised with spinal mylopathy, keep her comfortable until its time........enjoy the time you've got.

hard to lose part of the family every 8-12 years.....good luck to you.

wzrd.

Hey,Phil...sorry to hear about this. anybody who's owned a dog and loved one and been loved equally in return knows that the pain that comes with losing one is like losing a member of your family. even when you're prepared for it, it still hits you like a truck. i have a ten year old bassett hound that is starting to go a little deaf and a little arthritic, and just thinking about what your going through just made me go out and give hima treat and a scratch on the head. thoughts and prayers with you and your buddy, take care.

We got our first dog, a beagle, shortly after we were married and had him for 11 years of his 16 year existence. I miss him dearly. The only thing i regret is being there when I made the decision to end it. Worst moment of my entire life. Very atypical Beagle. Very Low maintenance, mellow dog

Truly sorry to hear it Phil. I am in Boston all this weekend on reserve so I will be happy to help you drown your sorrow if you so desire. I'm buyin

Sorry to hear this Phil. It`s alright to break down. Our 1st dog Oscar from 30 years ago when it was time to put him to sleep, you do not want to let them suffer too much, my wife couldn`t bear to come to the vet with me. After the injection did it`s job I just balled like a baby on the floor next to him .
