Welp... my dog died.

Same here. I couldn't even talk without blubbering all over myself.

But you said it. Its better to have the pal and lose him than to never have had a pal.

Aw, sorry dude. Your buddy will always be with you no matter what, just make sure you let her know that you're there for her.

Sorry to hear this bud. Beautiful Doberman, I've had two and they are a wonderful companion. I know words don't help much but Barb and I are thinking of both of you.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for your well wishes.

Allie is a little more comfortable this am. some of the medicine has dried her lungs out about, and she is able to breath a little more comfortably. so she isn't suffering at this point. yesterday however, was a very very bad day.

.

we got the X-rays of her heart, and it is about 2x normal size. the vet is expecting her to have a massive heart attack within the week, which will most likely kill her instantly.

my mom is doing a little better, but this is going to be very hard for her.

thanks everyone.

Man I really feel for you. I don't even want to think about the day that my dog is on her way out. My dog is like my first kid. She has been with me through everything, and she means the world to me. I hope you and your do the best, and hope that she'll be happy in her last days.

Well, today was the big day.

Allie had to be put to sleep to ease her suffering. she was in very bad shape, and there was no chance for recovery.

nothing left to say .

sorry phil.

Sad but inevitable day in a memorable relationship.

Condolences.

[[[goes and pats Henri the spaniel on the head, whap-whap-whap. This always makes us both wag our tails, but only I know it's not forever]]]

Someday somehow, our dogs are gonna outlive us.

Very sorry to hear about your dog. Theres nothing more difficult than having to let go of a pet like that. I know from personal experience how hard it is, but it is usually better to let them go so they dont suffer. Keep your head up man.

never any fun to hear man. I'm sure you will pull through. just think of all the good memories and think of how good of owners you were and how she wouldn't have been any better off anywhere else!
