What did you do in the first huge snow?!

What are the laws when it comes to playing in a parking lot? Is it possible to get in trouble even if you are sensible. Sensible + Fun in parking lot.... Oxymoron no?
I believe it falls under damaging private property. Find a lot that is owned by a friend of yours and you're fine. You'll still be bothered by cops if they see, but you can tell them that you have the permission of the owner.

Gotcha, sounds about right. From what I hear, if that catch you, they ussually just send you home.

I came home from work around 9am and drifted every turn and possible place that I could, subaru + snow = heaven

Too bad a car kicked up a rock and cracked my windshield though

Man I could not sleep last night. Big snow on the way. Going to work early to get out early and do some driftin and AWD donuts. I will be safe, but the biggest empty parking lot I find will not be.
We don`t know just how big a snow we getting yet. If you want to see what a really big snow looks like go to my SNOW thread post 167 & 168.

Now we are seeing some totals here in Sidney. We have about 7inches. Of snow, perv.

Been out playing since the roads are NOT plowed as usual and I have no complaints.

As far as the parking lot deal. Yes I do go to a local business park. As for the cops they are way to busy to deal with some dips*it doin AWD donuts in the middle of a snow storm.

I am letting the snow pile up too.

The AWD with four wheel lock up is amazing...

10 gears to choose from. It is nearly impossible NOT to have fun.

pondering the only dual range daily driver out of ...

how many thousands....?

I guess my perspective has changed. Wanna beat a sube, beat a new one.

I just drove down to the Yarmouth Town Landing, the road hasn't been plowed yet, it was awesome, I don't think my undercariage is very happy though.

NateGr8ns, if you want to have some fun hit that road, just don't stop in the deep stuff, and make sure to roll the stop sign at the top of the hill.

I stood in my garage doorway pondering my previous conclusion about how I dislike "people" while my neighbor plowed my driveway and tried to refuse to take some cash. I had never met this man before. He is a truly nice guy and glad to have neighbors that aren't A-holes.

Then when he told me where he lived, I realized he drives a Subaru! A Baja to be more precise. He also has what sounds like a sweet ass boat with a huge ass supercharged engine. He decided that we were good people when I was shotblasting the garage floor to lay down that sweet epoxy floor.

What a day...

Drove home from work this afternoon in Bangor via Rt 180, it was around 2:30 and the plows hadn't done the road yet. Never saw another car the entire way. Averaged 50-60 mph most of the way, incredible drive.

bailed early from work, drove home mid day, even Route One was not plowed yet. wicked corduroy surface. hello plow crews??!!

long line of folks driving annoyingly slow. head of de line was a Tacoma with fat tires who hadn't discovered their 4WD lever yet...

wtf why are people so clueless? Was wondering if a citizen's arrest for Obstructing Fun Winter Driving might have been appropriate.

stopped for gas, there was a guy with a lifted Cherokee and bald mudder tires...he was doing artful drifts clean around the pump islands....top speed mebbe 5 mph, it was like Ice Capades. +1 for Dick Cepek silliness!

rained like a bastid after dark (typical Camden winter storm pattern), we had 6-8" down before that. now there is a whitish substance, sort of like epoxy or concrete....oh well, it'll make a nice base for skiing in the woods.

Went out and raised hell in the STi.

Then, I put the Moose plow on the 4-wheeler, plowed my driveway & my neighbor's...

Well, I gotta say I love the blizzaks. I drove home from Augusta via Rt.17 around 1:00. I did not slip once, that is unless I intended to!

After I got home the snow started tapering off so I went in to F-Town to hang at the bar with some friends. We had lunch, then leaving the bar I noticed that the movie theater parking lot was empty and had probably been plowed once but had about 1 1/2 inches of snow. YAY!!! I told my friends to buckle up and blew donuts for about 5 minutes.

I would have stayed there all day but I did not want to risk ticking off the theater owner or the police.

yeah. of the last 48 hours, i spent 24 in a plow truck. just got home from a 16 hour shift. but, did cookies int he field and drifted all the way to auburn the other night:D

i-wag, you went dorifto in a plow truck??!!

that one fits into the Department of Oxymoron Department

I grew up with a friend whose dad was a plow truck guy down here in Knox County. We had some great late nites riding around with him...one time at like 2 am we slid off the road, and he made the two teenagers dig out the truck while he sat inside. so ok we eventually got out, but my bud Wayne racked his shovel wrong, and it slid down onto the road and got caught under the side-mount toolbox dragging sparks on the road.... sounded like the truck tranny had fell out. Let's just say it woke us the fark up!

I always beep "Hi how are yez?" when I pass a plow truck.

In fact, nite before last when it wuz snowing like hail, I passed a Lincolnville plow, I know Bernard the driver. Up the road a ways at the g/f's house, I threw a big handbrake turn and slid into her driveway backwards. Bernard drove by, saw the tracks, and gave a big Hoooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkk on the air horn.

To sum up my first big snow ... I drove around with barely inspectable all seasons waiting for the second big snow when I had my studs on.
