What did you do to the Subaru today?

Today was a very productive subi (and ford) day!

First of all, I got pulled over in the subi for no inspection. Problem was I had a broken clock spring. No Horn or Cruise and an Airbag light.

Fixed that by re-wiring a WRX clock spring, and somehow fitting it in there.

Then I had to swap on some tires with a little more tread to ensure a problem free stickering. Then I dropped it off at the inspection station, and spent the majority of the day working on Nigels Red-Headed stepchild. Afterwords, I swapped my tires back on the RS.

Then, after coming back to bangor, I put my headlights in the oven, took them apart and painted the surrounds black. Put those back together, and then tackled the star logo on my grill. If you pop the logo apart, and sand down the old paint (in my case, it was a really gay red) cleaned it up, painted it black, and re-installed. I also wired my fog's to stay on with my high-beams, and cleaned my wheels, and prepped my WRX calipers for powdercoat tommorow.

installed my groupN tranny mount, and unibomber sexy rearend package. took maybe 1.5 hours total. great upgrades!

then dropped the wrx off to evergreen for what i think will be new cam seals.

Had to re-wire my driver's side JDM projector... again.

Then when I had everything put back together, I realized that my passenger side connector is also on it's way out, ugghhh..

hell yeah, a little louder when sitting in the car but standing in front of them gives me an ear ache. I feel bad for the people i will be using these for.

Yeah Supertones are loud!!!

I installed a new radiator in to my 89 GL, and also put a set of XT6 seats in as well. Now it doesn't get too hot, and it is much more comfortable to sit in!!

good bit of waggie work over last few days (merci, C-Rolla)

ss brake lines, bleed brakes

clean up rusty calipers, refinsh em sex nail polish red

poly bushings on F/R swaybars and rear trailing arms (w/much swearing at old bolts n torching of sticky rubba bushies)

confirming that brake lines from a GC do NOT fit GD chassis (doh, Nigel!
