Your manual and door jamb will both confirm that you're putting in the right stuff.

oh in scarb there is a place that sells VP racing Fuel... my sti like that 107oct leaded. (you dont want to run it with cats and its about 7.50 a gal). but they can get you whatever you want. its called Fredricks bros.

Yeah. I'd listen to Pat. His crap always last a real long time. :

Dude, do you believe everything you read? There is nothing wrong with Mobil 1.

LOL alright so I should stop using mobil 1 and switch to elf and go to scarborough and start running 107 leaded race gas? ;D I see what your saying, you really dont like mobil 1 huh? As far as gas goes im just looking for some good DD gas 93 is fine I have sunoco, mobil, and exxon to choose from.

To add a lil light to this... mobil 1 is perfect for your honda or truck or anything... but when heat (aka a turbo is added) it breaks down and cant do its job. So for any turbo application mobil 1 is a bad bad choice.

Everything I have read tends to show AMSOIL as the best far superior to any other oil on the market... Shell helix and rotella are very good as well. I ran rotella syn because it was thick, designed for high heat turbo diesel motors. meaning it can handle a beating (like what i did to my car... Always driving in the powerband and late shifting.)

so where can you get that oil
amsoil is at napa in westbrook by far the best choice but very $$$$... shell helix (good luck i think its only overseas but check ebay)... shell rotella can be found at wallmart in the blue syn bottle.

Redline Syn can be had by contacting Ralli here on the forums.

Valvoline syn can be had at advanced autoparts 2 for 1 pricing

I honestly think mobil 1 gets it rep because its the most widely used and affordable synthetic oil. I know of a couple SR20DE motors that have upwards of 300,000 miles on them and have been on Mobil 1 their entire life. People have their opinions and evidence either way. Its more of how much you are willing to spend and what you feel.

But Yes, I do sell Redline synthetic oil. Let me know if there is something you may be interested in.

I BY NO MEANS AM SAYING TO RUN 15w40 in your car... RUN WHAT IT SAYS TOO RUN! if you burn oil try something else... that's what i did.

You should stick to 5w30 10w30 or 5w40.

Site #1 is a list of #'s, nothing saying one is better than the other

site #2 is a test of diesel oil's, not real relevent, but long and boring

site #3 the guy ran Mobil 1 DELVAC and it ran out of his drain plug like water at 8k miles. Delvac is for diesels

site #4 has 4 people saying they burned with Mobil 1, 3 saying they didn't. One of the guys was probably you 'cause he switched to 15W40 and miraculously it stopped burning oil. No kidding, it's friggen molases!

Once again, opinions. I've got 111k miles, have run Mobil 1 since 92k and burn about 1/2qt to an oil change. Hey, maybe I get better Mobil 1 than everyone else!

I love ya Pat, I just hate it when you say something sucks without any real facts. Your car burning oil from day one probably had nothing to do with the break-in proceedures, did it? Maybe 15W40 is ok on built engines, but I wouldn't do it on anything with stock internals.

If you start messing with viscosities you really need to get an oil pressure guage (an accurate one) and also know what pressure your bypass valve in your filter opens up at. too thick of oil and you are going to spike your pressure and open that valve.

Open valve = no filter
