what to buy?

under 16k, selling what you have...

air force reserve? so that means leaving a car sit around?

I don't get why you sell a good car now, but if to search more power to ground aand hang onto a boxer trend,

230hp with a yawn...and a famous sound to boot

high costs gone. I am only assuming insurance, taxes at reg time getting to you?

maybe one of those 3 liter outbacks with h6 or whatever.

yeah i need to register my car and its gonan cost over 625 to do so wich is so dam steep. back in south carolina it woudl of cost 250.

the airforce reserve is a long process to get finalized and not sure when i woudl ship off to basic. if i was going soon i woudl just sell and not have a car at all but dont wanan go 6 months of beautifull maien weather with no car

im gonan exhaust every option to keep it gonan go look for part tiem jobs even if i have to wait tables to get soem extra income just to get through these next 6 months

this is what im thinking for 13k you goto canada and buy an r33 skyine drive it home and buy a rotted 240sx that you bought for $100 switch vins and boom skyline

What about a Honda S2000? Fun to drive, can be found for cheap, and can be supercharged.
true but i won be having any money to do work to the car let alone somethign big like a super charger

yup just stopped in the town office a few weeks ago on check on the price and i payed 775 to register it in nh 7 months ago

you never know, you might make enough during basic to register it and go stage 2 when you get back ( maybe)

kristof, remember how good your SVT was for so little money

had a relatively major moment en route home from work...SO glad the SVT has big brakes!

but...a bit o late brakin and early on de gass whilst stompin on de brakes...No PlobreM!! Countersteer! Keep on de Gass, oh yesss.

my neighbors might have a diffrent take on things tho!

About a year ago, I looked into the air reserves. I was about to head to the recruiting office in Augusta, but then I heard about 8 weeks of basic training that would take place in Texas and I realized I couldn't leave my wife and daughter (who at the time was just about 1-year-old) for that long. Personally, I think that military basic training is something that every man should go through once in his life...but after some serious soul searching, I couldn't do it. Maybe I'm being hypocritical, but the thought of leaving my family for just two months was enough for me to look at other avenues of income...and hopefully I did because I finally found a great job that I love. I'm not too sure why I'm writing this, maybe just to get some things off my chest about being a family man and making some difficult decisions about money and time. I'm not saying that the reserves is a bad idea. Its a very noble thing to do for your family and country and God bless the men and women who are a part of it.

Kristof, I honestly hope this all works out for you and I know that the military can use all the help they can get from guys like the ones found here on MS.

yeah i knwo that was a hard decision for me to make and if i go in its actually gonna be about a year totall of time im away for basic then survival training then tech school etc etc. ill be able to see the family here and there during that but not a ton. to me its not just doing it for the money. hell if it was abotu the money i sure wouldnt be going into the air force especially as reserve. u dotn make much. to me its more of a combo of yes having soem income but have a new life experince having some adventure again. I want to meet soem new people get out of the house and most of all i think it will mak me a better man. yes it will be tough to be away formt he kids and wife but i think int he long run it will make me a better father and husband. and hell a good excuse to get back in tip top shape
