since there is so many different opinions on "the perfect exhaust for a subaru" i just wanted to see what people like. i think i would have to go with the Invidia G200.

I like the G200, but that one didn't sound very good... Probably a combination of the catless DP and a bad recording.

If I had the money, what should I run on the OBS? I'm thinking a $20 muffler

Get some new speakers ... that sounds great

I have an Invidia N1 Raceback on my 22t swap. I wouldn't go with anything else. There is something that Invidia does that makes me fall in love with the sound

i just love the sound of it.. i live on a pretty busy street in Lewiston and everytime i hear some fart can ricer Vtec drive by my house i have to laugh about the rediculous sound it has.. nothing beats the sound of a subaru with a nice exhaust.. especially a Invidia.

Whatever the black STi in Augusta has (EFFNSTI). I get aroused when I hear that coming down Western Ave.

I don't care about the sound of my music as much. I want to get either a harness for the Sony receiver I have in my basement or get a new receiver first, then I'll tackle speakers.

So would getting a muffler qualify me for the ricer club? I just want to bring out the rumble, but I don't have the money for a full exhaust. I have been toying with the idea of buying some pipes and heading up north to some MS members with welders. I've had two offers to help me build a pipe.

Depends on the muffler you get. Folks like us with NA engines and basic suspension and exhaust parts have an easy (and cheap) time upgrading to stuff that's a little better...as long as it fits. Although its not as extensive as some other folks here, take a look at my mods list. My car handles and sounds better than when it was stock by doing business with members here in the club.

Does it not have RCA audio in? Or do you mean you need the stereo > RCA patch cable?

that's my setup. Invidia v2 catless with a g200 sounds pretty nasty. If your going to the next meet you can hear it. The only thing I dont like about the g200 is the end of the muffler is a tad large. Id rather have an n1 but I think they are a little bit too loud for comfort.

Hks carbon ti is an awesome cat back too.

Invidia n1 street. I've never heard the n1 race but i'm sure that's great.

I did love stinate's BPM twister. thing was HARSH

SPT catback. nice rumble without ricer edge...also keeps you in ballpark for warranty issues down the line. also the polished stainless pipes and can plus cutback tip look schweet.

Nate, consider doing a stock WRX takeoff catback. adds a bit of rumble w/o big fitment issues. just swap the flange on WRX pipe, bolts right up to your OBS. BTDT on a couple of GCs, it's a win win el cheapo solution.
