Why hello there!

2point5RS Dan is a strong supporter of good tires, and after driving my Subie this winter I'm definitely a believer too. Snow tires will be cheaper than a new car if you want to go that route (not that Subies aren't awesome, because they are!).
I second and third the "good winter tires" suggestion. subie + snow tires = super fun tank

true, true. I was just super impressed by your manners. Manners these days are few and far between.

Manners... Even my friends can be complete jerks because they don't think about what they're doing, they just do it.

So how are you in your buying process? Looked at any cars yet?

What I noticed when driving cars: You can feel quite a difference between Legacies and Imprezas. My Impreza was more fun to drive than the legacies I drove (2000 GT sedan, 2006/7 Outback, and a 2006/7 sedan).

You can also tell when a car has been beat on. I drove an outback sport (meaning impreza-based) wagon from '04 and saw that it had aftermarket fogs bolted on. At first, I thought cool, but then I noticed how poorly they were aimed, and they were bolted directly to the bumper cover (so they were wobbly). The car handled ok, but the engine just felt... old and used.

I look at cars all the time.. But I can't buy any, because right now, I have no credit, and I'm paying for my Mazda still.. :/

Welcome to the club and good luck with the search for a subaru! You won't be short of advise on this site with any questions you have concerning what is good and what should be avoided!
