Winter Readiness

The entrenching tools suck in the snow. The blade is too small. it will break up ice and crusty snow, but after that it is no better than a mitten clad hand.

what nigel forgot to mention was, avoid needing a tow strap at all, go to Oneils and sign up for a wintersafe driving class!

Would if I had the money. If I can make a 2wd dump truck push snow up goff hill in auburn, I can make a scoob go on flat ground.

My father had a pair of these when I was young. He used them while he was an electrician with a 2 wheel drive van. He left them with me when he moved to Georgia 30 years ago. I still have them and use them mostly when I plow. I also throw them in the car(s) when I go skiing, etc. THEY ARE MADE IN MAINE!!!!!!!!!! WELL worth the investment.

I know the feeling Crown Vics suck in the snow but somehow we learn to get them around.
mmhmm...... You just like drifting them!

Have to be careful now a lot of our parking lots have cameras. But yes we do hone our winter driving skills from time to time

certain peoples I know pack a slim jim...just in case some helpless damsel gets locked out on a subzero night.

had this experience at a rally in NH, got locked out (not a damsel tho ) and went to NAPA for the tool. "Can I help you?" said counter guy. "Yeh, I need a slim jim, got locked out." LOL, the guy nearly flipped. Evidently such things are NOT legally for sale in NH...

I said, well ain't a slim jim better than using a rock?!!
