Wolf Chase Rallyx December 5

See you **GUYS** this woman knows what to do with an STI.. Unlike you queens... Jealous I couldn't make it out.. I'm sure my new transmission would have loved it.... (Just as much as it did plowing Stud Mill Rd this morning

)
Unlike "us guys"... Funny.

Not.

... Tell you what, Rez, you build an STi & destroy it, and I'll watch.

It's real easy for you to talk smack when you drive "build-a-beaters".

Why don't you try building a car that costs more than a house in Old Town, and see how you feel about putting it in ditches, in the name of "fun", then?

I didn't build a "trailer queen", and neither did Nate-as far as I know we're about the only ones with built STIs- so you must be referring to us-and I resent it, if I'm not being clear.

I drive mine daily, year-round, in any weather.

As to kat (what looks like) snowplowing a (probably not so-much-so any more) perfectly-good STi through a muddy field in the name of "rally-x", looks like... a waste of what (was) a nice car.

To each his own, I guess.

...Btw, I thought rally school taught you to avoid mudplowing hazards like that.

I'm going to go ahead and says that nobody is in the wrong here (well maybe Rez for calling out the built STIs
default_frown.gif
). Kat has her car because she likes to rally it, and people like Kristof have their car to have fun with it on the road. I don't know why people give him crap for garaging it. If I had just spent money on a new STI, I sure as heck would wanted to risk getting the seeds of road salt planted on the underbelly of it.

Same goes for people who build their cars for street performance. Its a lot riskier (IMO!) driving fast in mud than driving fast on tarmac, although obviously its worse on a public street. The cars are designed for the latter, and would not work to well on the former, due to suspension changes 'n stuff.

damn it Rez, you got to rub it in don't you!

my car is perfectly fine after that little mud plowing incident. this wasn't her planned christening (diff fail in rallycar), all the STi's are too low and suffered plowing issues (rally inspired:idk:) it is going to get a taller suspension so she will not have this issue as often.

they do and if I had actually taken a course, I might have had better luck, that hole was 10 seconds into the run, and I'm afraid my line sucked. first time on dog snot with the STi and I was just trying to keep the arse end of that beast behind me. Everyone said I looked good out there "nice lines" Really I felt like a was flopping around like a dieing fish:rant: Had the most fun when I opened the diff and drifted the course! I coasted around the course after the event to be sure every thing had been cleaned out of the field and she was plowing even going slow:rant:

integra lost its inner fender linerS

I am pretty sure that he called out all of the people that ooh and ahh over this stuff, not you and Nate. You obviously have a problem with this sport, so I will suggest that you not frequent this section of the forum if it is going to result in this type of response.

Kat called me out a number of years ago when I threw mudflaps on my rex for being a tarmac queen, so I rallyX'ed my car. It is still fine, I AutoXed my car, it is still fine. They are a bit more rugged than you give credit. but oh well.

I will shut my trap and get back to piling miles on my rex.

beep beep beep beep!! Circular Discussion Alert!!!

stixx and nate are NOT "the only ones with built STIs" there is a certain silver one with red tulip grafix that is quite "built" with STI bits that can be seen at rally events far and wide....otherwise it lurks in a shop being doted upon or sitting on a trailer waiting for space in the shop so she can be doted on. And gassp! yes it's ironic but the notorious Ms Tulip is indeed a trailer queen, at least she's one who earns her dinner out in the woods.

and besides, it seems stixx is about to come over to the Sand Ppl side anyway, just not with his cop magnet tarmac vacuuming black car.

if ppl don't want to plow gravel/mud/snow with their lowered street cars, that shows a remarkable amount of actual good sense (tho I did spot pics of Nate's car tricked out with snows "for winter fun."

etc etc

beating dead horse smiley goes HERE

I like rally-x just fine, it's condescending comments and outright hypocracy that peese me off.

If all goes well Meyagi & I are gonna' build a rally-x 2-dr Impreza, using my (not N/A!) peachy '06 LGT motor

as a starting point. If it happens, the project will be Purpose-Built from the ground, up, but street legal, barely.

Stitch-welded chassis, full cage fun-ness.

After the upcoming, and very LAST turbo upgrade for my STi, and paint/body, it's essentially done. Yay. Sigh.

I'm not pounding it at auto-x, I'll stick to eighths and quarter mile drags and "spirited"
default_cheerleader.gif
street driving.

We'll see how it sorts out, maybe next Summer I'll be knee-deep in a cow poo-filled meadow with you guys!

Not sure where you are finding hypocrisy here, or anything condescending.

you are obviously planing on stepping up to the plate with a car that is for the purpose of not staying on the tarmac. Which is the purpose of poking fun at the tarmac only and trailer queens that poke around on subaru sites.

LET ME REITTERATE!!!

TAKE THE MAJORITY OF WHAT I SAY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. I HARASS EVERYONE EQUALLY ABOUT NOT GETTING THEIR CARS DIRTY. NO ONE SHOULD FEEL SPECIAL, I AM AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY OFFENDER.

hehe ah the age old Subaru debate.

this happens on Suby forum all over the place.

building fast cars is fun, using them on legal outlets for racing and driving is even more fun.

building beaters are fun too! fun factor of driving the wheels off a car leaves a big grin on the face

If going as fast as you can on the track of your choice is the goal, build it, race it, and move along. on both ends of the spectrum.

personally id take 75 sideways on a single lane logging road in my WRX versus 140mph on a drag strip.

Why does it smell like poo in here, and why do I have a stick in my hand?

As kat said, take my comments with a grain of salt.. I meant it in the most tongue in cheek way.. If you are taking it that way.. so be it..

i think subaru's are built for the dirt hehe just my oppinion.. im one of those build my daily driver into a beater rally x car... my previous 2 saabs are great examples. no onto subaru's and hoping they live longer then a year under my ownership.
