Dude, if you do any mods above and beyond what the map is designed for you have to have it re-tuned. Somethings effect it more than others, particularly something like a CAI needs to have tuning done around it.

ooo, ok. just wondering, i dont know anything about this kinda stuff, i will keep to my stock intake system with my k&n filter. thanks for the input

That is a great idea. As Andy mentioned.. you'd really have to rescale the MAF for a different intake then stock especially to be safe running the car with a leaner A/F and at higher boost.

Im flashing his car over to stg 2 with an xpt map he bought.
Good stuff!!

Not really.... I've been running 11.5:1 a/f and sometimes a little leaner and 19-20psi and I haven't done that yet? So that is untrue.
I was referring to the trend, more boost + more lean = ka-boom.

Try flooring it up a hill in the 5th gear at like 30mph.

tuned that in a 3500' on the way to Rally NY with all of the tools and shiz in the back of the wag.

no problems in the Ralli mobile

I have launch control and flat-foot shifting on my LGT. Launch control was fun for like 3 days but its pretty useless unless drag racing. You just look like a D-bag when you're sitting at a stop light at 5500 RPM. Flat-foot shifting is much more useful.
Agreed. I ended up flashing back in a regular cobb stage2 map without LC cause I didnt care for it anymore.

And my car won't blow up.. because I've tuned it properly.... Which at the same time, I think my RPM in 5th gear at 30mph (mind you I have much larger than stock tires) is much to log to drive like that.

I don't really understand your reasoning. Yes, too much boost and/or too lean = kaboom.. but that is not what you said.

i have launch control on my 02, thanks ralli still using it and loving it.

i have launched dozens of times (on dirt) and it works like a charm. i sitll need to bump it up a few hundred rpms tho. id like to try in the 4k range.

when i downloaded the map. it says to adjust the wastegate arm to hit higher boost. do you turn the arm towards the engine or away from it, to raise it?

Tighten a half turn or full turn to raise boost. Do it in SMALL increments. Are you not hitting target boost? Care to post a datalog?

Lefty loosey - righty tighty
