07 2.5i-wagon

Well come to find out oversized truck tires and the chincy plastic washers that come with the rally armor install kit don't like eachother.I'd had one washer gone, one ready to peel off the screw and 2 that were ready to wear through. Time for stainless washers and put a rush on the lift kit

Well I went to wire wheel and paint my axleback today so it'd have fresh ain't before snow, and found a rust hole below the outlet of the muffler. So I patched it up and will be donating the axleback to one of our younger members. Stock exhaust until after I install the trailer hitch I have coming, then I'll build something new if nobody has an axleback I like

Got all the bolts freed up that I'll need to remove when I install my trailer hitch. Already thinking about my next exhaust setup, and I'd create a poll but don't know how/ too lazy. So here's my thoughts. Feel free to provide input.

All setups will be mufflers welded onto a stock hacked up fxt axleback. Here goes.

Flowmaster super 40, offest inlet single outlet, maybe a nice tip. All painted flat black

Same but offset inlet dual outlet( if it exists) just pipe for tips, flat black

Dynomax ultraflow stainless, stainless tip welded on, no flat black

Same but just exhaust pipe for tip, flat black (stealthy)

I'm really leaning toward the dynomax stealthy, since tips are expensive and I know I like the muffler, just not the mild steel they mabe it out of, but I'm open to suggestions. Cost is huge btw.

Coming soon: new catback from foz xt mated to stainless dynomax ultraflo :-D. Should get started on it this weekend

Thanks! I'm a little ticked at how much slop there is between my reciever hitch and the insert. Wasn't there this morning but it has some now. Might have just worn off the various coatings it had on it.

My to do list just got shorter. No lift this winter:-( but I will have it sounding good again soon

Nice. I have done a ton of wood pellets on my outback and trailer.

If you have slop maybe try change drop extension, flip up?

It just started wearing through the truck bed liner I had accidentally got in there, and a 3 inch lift has more pronounced slop since it sticks up farther from the reciever. Come this winter I'll have a straight (no drop) hitch with a clevis in it for a recovery point

And I got my newest exhaust built today. 2.5 offset in center out dynomax ultra flo stainless muffler welded onto a fxt axleback I'd attacked with a plasma cutter. I learned the hanger location isn't the same as impreza wrx, so I made a new stainless one, made hangers for the 2 rear mounts and put a simple slant cut piece of pipe for a tip, sprayed it high temp flat black while it was still warm from welding. Almost looks just like my stock axleback that I'd painted. I haven't yet decided if I'll lengthen the fxt midpipe to fit my car. Would I actually gain anything with a 2.5inch midpipe if I still have a 2.25inch axleback

Never got around to posting pix of the stealthy exhaust, so here it is, with the trailer hitch too

Fxt axleback hanger is too far feft and forward, so I made a new one

Yes kern, exactly the same but stainless. Sounds amazing, like my last one but a bit deeper and throatier. I'm in love.

Oh yeah I also found a way to permanently run my trailer wiring outside since the instructons said leave it handing out the hatch. Cut a notch in a grommet in the spare tire well and plastered it with black silicone

I like leaving mine inside, and only snaking it out the trunk when I have it hooked up to a trailer. It doesn't hurt the gasket any, and it keeps the connector from corroding.

It's a right wicked common problem for the trailer wiring on trucks to completely corrode out and not work.

I just hated leaving it dangling out the trunk, I even shut it in the latch once. I'm not afraid to re wire it either, I'll just put some dielectric grease on the plus and wash it after every snowstorm like usual
