I like the back up light idea. You should get a full size spare and put it in the basket.

Working on tracking down a late 90s leggy steely to match. Then I can ditch the donut and throw a second optima in the hatch

so, when I installed the backup lights on the roof rack, I put them on a relay and toggle switch and wired them by the diagram like it said. but I also wanted them to come on automatically when I put it in reverse, but still have the option of using the switch in case I'm working behind the car cutting trees or hooking a recovery strap to another vehicle. pondered and pondered how to do it without blowing stuff up until I callled joel and our collective brainstorm was epic. working on making a diagram to show how I wired it

this is what we came up with. since there is no easy way to add a different power input (switching means) without blowing stuff up if both means are used, we figured, why not toggle grounds like subaru, since adding grounds wont hurt anything. switch, when pressed turns on the lights and illuminates. second relay is also tapped into the ground from the first relay, and the switching means for this one comes from the reverse lights. reverse lights come on, turns relay on which completes the ground circuit a second way. genius I say!

Got a maf adapter plate and aem cone at advance today. Still trying to decipher which models didn't have the torque box/resonator to replace my stuff. summer tires are mounted and balanced on blacked out factory wheels, look great, the tigerpaws ride and handle good, and even did good in that slop

The wheels look good!!! did you sand, primer and clear when u painted them?? looks different without the lights on the front

I sanded with 220, painted with rustoleum no clear, then walmart decided the paint looked too nice and gouged it all to crap putting the tires on so I had to re paint. Lights are back on she didn't look right without them

I've been pondering a lift kit since g did his, but I just don't see it being worth it when the forester already sits higher. If I can get everything together in the next month our so I'll have custom catless uel headers

Well I was going to build headers, but replacing my rear struts was more important. Kinda sad I took then out and they shrunk right down with no resistance. New excel-g's for 96 a piece at napa

You could always make your lift out of cutting boards like someone else I know they have been running it for a couple months now with no issues
