2007 Murdered STi

Am at DSG on the 16th for a retune and more boost, myself.

The car is still running like ca-ca, hopefully this will sort it out.

i actually had to look them up greg. they look like they have a lot of experience, just not so much in the way of subaru. what was their pricing?

Yea from what ive heard esp is more of a european tuner. You might want to look into someone who will tune your car on the street from what it sounds like your issues are. Mark knows a guy who sounds like he might be worth a try.

Just a few more things left before im off to DSG. I have to fix the stupid inlet-turbo coupler again, wire my coolingmist controller, throw a new set of ngk 1 step colders and were good to go.

They've been doing work on Subarus for years, and their Soobie tuner has been with them for a couple of years.

They are very knowledgeable about STIs, we spent a good amount of time discussing the car and the equipment on it, and the goals for it, etc.

I'm getting more specifics tomorrow Nate, I'll keep you posted.

I'm probably going to give them a shot, I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I fookin love your car... that's exactly how mine would look if I had an 07 STI (which I hope is my next Suby...)

Wanna trade for a few days?

And have a blast at DSG, am sure I'll be seeing them this year again.
Yea it makes me more nervous then anything because I have only had one sucessfull trip to DSG. All the other ones have had some sort of failure.

I have only had one sucessfull trip to DSG.
And that, my friend, is exactly why I am off to ESP.

My car went back for tweaking to DSG (left it for days on end!) and it still runs like crap.

(It runs like crap because that's the way they gave it back to me, "tuned".)

For the time I spend just traveling back and forth to these shops, I'd really like to see some results that make me

, instead of (yet) more (bleeping) problems.

If I hear "Sure....Bring it back (and take a six hour round trip!) and we'll fix it" one more f'ing time, I'm gonna' have an (expensive and potentially violent)) aneurysm, all over someone's dyno.

I realize tuning is an "art form", but when I'm paying out the ass for a tune, I don't expect it to be as subjective as art. (Ie. A "bad" tune cannot be a "good" tune, unlike art, which, in some cases, some seemingly "bad" art is actually "good".)

I'm not "mad" at DSG, I'm just tired of taking my car +3 hours, all of the way to Norwood, dropping it off over and over, and spending my hard-earned money, and still not having the car nowhere close to right-and it's still My Problem, at the end of the day.

If they want to send someone up here, since they didn't fix what was wrong, when I was there, that'd be fine with me, but another trip to have the same stuff wrong when I'm done using my time, and paying them for it, isn't likely to happen, again.

Nice guys there, but the results are lackluster.

If ESP doesn't work out I'm gonna' ship the STi wherever it takes to get it straight, even if it's ll the way to California. Grrrrr.

Well I just got home from DSG. Good news- The car made 380whp at only 15psi, which is absolutley nuts. Bad news- The turbo is failing .......fast so the tune had to be cut short. So im off to get the turbo rebuilt by blouch. Yet another wonderful day with the ol sti.

Well, I'm glad you're motor is solid Nate.

Look at a twin-scroll, that's where I'm headed when I'm done with the Green.

If my last post seems pissy @ DSG, it's only because of how disappointing my last trips have been.

I really like Matt and Alex, and they did a good job on my motor install.

My tune's a *****, and I'm determined to get the car Right, or die trying

One more Shop in the Oddessey, we will see how it goes...

Yea motor is sound so at least that is good. Honestly I kinda expected something to go wrong and at least the turbo is a straight forward and fairly inexpensive fix.
