the spray tint that ppl use for tail lights is a good way to cover the chrome I used that on my LGT grill

Nothing much new to report here. I brought my car to get inspected today and Tricity failed me for me taillight overlays. Said my taillights were tinted/wrong color/etc.

I can understand the reverse lights, but not the turn signals. I believe in the state of NH, rear turn signals can be either red or yellow. So they pulled off all the vinyls. Now I have to get new ones, and find other place to get an inspection for next year......

Proof they didn't need to pull off all my tint:

(a) A vehicle shall be rejected if:

375](1) Any bulb, sealed beam unit or lamp fails to light or does not function properly;
375](2) Any bulb, sealed beam unit, lamp or reflector does not meet the manufacturer's specifications or violates federal motor vehicle safety standards;
375](3) Turn signal lamps fail to light when the turn signal lever is moved to the “on” position, or flashes less than 60 or more than 120 cycles a minute;
375](4) The back-up light system does not turn off automatically when the vehicle is moved forward, if the light system is designed to turn off and if the vehicle is so equipped;
375](5) Any lamp shows a color inconsistent with the following:
a. Headlamps shall show a white light;
b. Colored headlamps, covers or tinted lenses shall not be permitted;
c. License plate lamps shall show a white light;
d. Directional signals shall show an amber or white light to the front and an amber or red light to the rear;
e. Tail and brake lamps shall show a red light; and
f. Clearance lamps shall show a red light to the rear and an amber light to the front;

If its anything like Maine any reduction of light out put via covers or tints is illegal. So all you people with tinted tail lights are illegal.

Yah...This is just the first instance I've had of such a thing in NH. NH is generally very loose on lighting laws. I'll be going to another Subaru dealer or another place that won't give me a hard time over such a small thing.

If you were Maine plates I could got u sticker I went dealer I bought it first because I had free inspections for life but they wouldn't do it ovously lol

I also have free inspections for life, but I won't be going to Tri-City Subaru anymore. They won't get another dime from me.

So aren't after market hids exhaust I believe even being lowered was illegal I believe they changed the law tho I was thinking about moving back to mass but nothing on my car is legal there so I'd have to strip it down including the tint

I've had the tint on mine for a couple of years now and never had any problem passing inspection, but I use small local garages too, even evergreen passed it once with the tint
