Aux out mod for '99 Tape Deck

So that should work with a CD as well?I'd just burn a CD that switches between 3 frequencies. frequency 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, etc, changing every 2 seconds or so.
It would work way better with a CD!! Anyone who's used cassetts can tell you that they have pretty bad quality, so recognizing my frequency was hard at times. But I wouldn't have it alternate. If you keep it constant, it is pretty obvious when you've found it. You could even probe for it using headphones connected up to probes if you don't have access to an oscilloscope (most people don't have one just laying around their house...).

And yes, I kind of knew where to look for my signal, and it seems you have a good idea from what you've read online.

Don't despair! You'll get this!

Wait... so a multi-meter won't work the same as an oscilloscope?

The only thing I've wanted to do with an oscilloscope is recreate Tennis For Two.

Nah, multimeter won't work because it averages a frequency into an output. With an oscilloscope you can actually see what the signal looks like, not just an RMS average. Like if you put it on an outlet, instead of seeing 120v, you see the sine wave.

But with your radio, you could use a speaker or headphones to listen for the output of your CD. That's what I would have done if I didn't have an oscilloscope.

I have a lot of really random things ...
