bigger sway bar+ high speed corners= dead struts

whiteline makes a bracket you can bolt to the lateral links. The forester crowd uses them the beef up the single tab links when upgrading the bars from 17 hollow to 20mm or bigger solid. On my 93 FWD impreza the threaded holes for the mounts are there in the chassis. It will not help with traction in the snow. IMO

And that is my biggest concern. I have found that the more I drive the more confident I have gotten with the capabilities of my car. It seems now that I wish it could do more but I dont want to do a AWD conversion while Im in school because I need the car to be reliable everyday. Maybe I will buy new snow tires next year. This set is on its third winter.

adding a rear sway will def affect traction in ths snow. not so much straight-ahead, get-up-that-hill traction but more affecting how it handles in the turns. adding a rear bar will def help "rotate" rear of car, which is fine if you are ready to deal with it (aka countersteer cuz you know the back is gonna come around) but is often also known as "snap oversteer," which has led to lots of accidents.

as far as doing AWD conversion to a FWD Scoob, forget that silliness. if you want an AWD car get one that was engineered priperly from the factory.

I don't have ANY sway bars on my GL. And that handles pretty nice.

Waiting for the haters......

I'm right there with you Chris. Articulation is where its at.

My car will never got to AWD. I would like to rallyx it after im out of college. Start in the stock class and work my up. As for putting a swaybar in, Its not going to happen based on what you guys say. The rear already likes to come around at times.
