death of a ricer...birth of an rs

Rear spats are in the future. Kinda need the plate to avoid getting pulled over.
I've run without a plate for years and never been pulled over for it, and only had it mentioned once. Just keep it in the car with you, and even if you get pulled over, play dumb.

I don't even know where my front plate is... I lost it a long time ago after I took it off. Nobody seems to care.

do you happen to know what they used to redo the rear 1/4 ( hand-bent metal , front fenders or just bondo ) . also you know the flat edge that goes around the fender ( can see well in the picture of the front end but not really seeing it on the rear , is why I ask .

Yea well the less reasons to be stopped , I'll keep the plate for now.

They cut out all the rust and welded in pieces of metal. Its certainly not how it looked when it rolled off the showroom floor but this will do. There's no rust and that's all I wanted.

I picked up the new rims tonight at mikes place. I'll be swapping a few tires around and painting the rota torques. Pics to come.

Looks even better in person. I was going to tag you yesterday when we were out car shopping. But I didn't have any cards in the LEX.

There's a lot of little things that need to be fixed. Paint runs and things that weren't fixed as I had asked. I'm pretty picky.I'll have it at the meet Wednesday but after that it'll go back to the shop.

Small update. As some of might have seen at the annual meet my paint job wasn't up to my standards and a lot of little things were missed so she's back at the shop getting a complete respray. Sucks for them.

I also hate Sooch and have begun researching ej207 swaps.

They didn't have much of a choice. Everything I pointed out was on a diff panel so it had to be done that way. I won't be taking it home its done right plus I get to drive the awesome 87 Toyota truck.

matt , in the last picture u posted above whats the deal with the steering wheel on the right ? is that a floor cleaner with a steering wheel ?

Cars looking great btw.

yea that's the shops floor cleaner, electric scrubber/vacuum with 3 wheels....slightly tippy but beats scrubbing it by hand.

I actually have a v4 ej20k waiting to go in not 207 like I first thought. I'll pm you some stuff that I've found with dealing with importers.
