ya I am going to wait till I have more money and buy a wrx or 06-11 lgt. But I am trying to find a cheap axle back exhaust for now.
Exhaust Laws: Anyone ever been pulled over?

Just buy a wrx header and a decent set of mufflers or axleback if you want the rumble, that's what I did for my leggy

i-wagon did that to my car as well. I'm loving it to this day. There is some fab work you have to do (or in my case, i-wagon did it for me). It's really the only way to get the Subaru rumble though on a non-turbo 2.5.

If I had a buddy with me, I could get video/audio of it on my car. It does sound really good, and I've never had issues with cops. Just recently had my car inspected in December as well, and it passed without any hitches.

The up-pipe section needs to be cut off, and a 3 bolt flange needs to be welded on in it's place so it can mate up with your current exhaust.

do you have ebay header on your car. I have heard that the ebay headers have some fitment issues. But I will search for some wrx headers.

I've got some hard-learned experience with loud exhausts...
The first time I got pulled over he gave me a lecture about it not being able to be any louder than stock... I politely informed him that the exception was that it remain under 95dB.
He disagreed, (i.e. told me I was full of it.) and then pointed at the hood scoop, wing, and gold rims with his pen, stating "I understand you kids like modifying cars, but it's too loud."
Clearly had no idea what he was talking about since everything he pointed to was OEM... I contested the ticket, showed up to court with the statute in hand, the police officer admitted that he didn't know that was a law and I still got stuck with a fine, due to the last bit about having to prove it. When asked where I should go to prove it, nobody had any answers...
The second time, was becuase the first time was on my record and the cop was having a bad day... continued to write me a ticket with a smirk on his face as a fleet of Harleys drove by.
Other than that, I had been pulled over no less than 5 other times for my exhaust... when I politely (I stress polite, ALWAYS be nice to police officers, they're typically pretty reasonable if you don't give them a reason not to be.) explain to them that there's a decible limit, they go double check and tell you to have a nice day.
Sorry for the long winded response, here's the statute... leave a copy printed off in your car if you're worried about it.

Was it an Oxford cop?? Theres a wrx always parked Oxford pd in the mornings when I go by, and he has a nice exhaust too.

Good to know. I've offered before that if someone can get their manifold bolts loosened up and can show up with parts I can do the welding and fab work for the uel wrx header retrofit on the newer cars. but I don't want to be responsible for broken studs

OK sounds good now I just have to find a stock wrx header looking on nasioc right now.
