Fall Group Drive to the White Mountians

I can't wait for this drive! I can't get upto speed very quick in my sports, but once I get there I like to stay there. I can prob do about a buck 20. I don't mind making my meats howl on the bends. I guess I could be at the end of the fast group. All the snails powered rides are gonna waste me, I can't wait to hear them all go by. No radio for me, just boxxer music.

I really wanted to go last year, then got hit and run.

a few mig reels later, I still want to go...

I need to be assured of a two row metal radiator... will be cutting it close to the ride date.

make an old sube fire, you need to make some cooling.

If I'm afraid of my legacy not keeping up... and that has a 135hp engine, you might want to consider riding with someone with your 93hp engine...

 
Take the GL! There is going to be lots of N/A cars there, the turbo guys are going to have to slow down eventually so we can catch up. I've never been just left behind on a group drive.

 
Maybe I'll take the Legacy then. It's a ways to drive the GL. And mine has an 85hp engine ... It isn't exactly what you'd call fast. It takes slow to a whole nother level. It isn't meant for going fast, it's meant for offroad

 
we dont need no stinking turbo!!!!!! once us n/a guys get up to speed...eventually, well keep up just fine. And just think, theyll get pulled over before we do.....

So it looks like Mike talked me into going. Im probably going to have to work that day and are probably going to call out. My boss doesn't like to give me time off cause im in school and only work part time. Even though ive been there for 3 year, i dont have an seniority over any of the new guys.....which i find kind of dumb. Its only 7.5 hours....i can make it up!

blew the headgaskets outa the suby, i'm thinking its a no go... i got peices of head gasket floating around in the coolant. if i can finish it before we head out i'll be totally in.

well i just did some research.. i think i can do these head gaskets in a good solid day, as long as the beer is cold. haha like i said i'm an audi guy, and head gaskets on my audi would be a huge job, these subys are so basic. i'm gunna do some talking to my buddies with nice garages, i gotta get my hands on a engine hoist, then were golden, i tihnk i can get this done, who knows i may put a nice clutch in there while i'm doing it.

That's the spirit! You get that thing going,then I'm definitely in! Keep me posted! BTW,my RS should be back in my possession by the end of the weekend!
