Flat4awd's EJ205 STM GC8

I've been accumulating tons of parts for this for the spring build. So far I have:

Rear subframe spacers

Kartboy F+R shifter bushings

Prodrive boost control solenoid

STi trans mount

Hella Supertones

STi replacement decals

new leather shift boot

black tuner lugs

...and some other bits I'm forgetting...

First thing I'm doing is getting it tuned at Granite State Dyno. After that, the plan is to de-mudflap it, repaint the calipers red, repaint the wheels red, replace the decals, then start tearing into the driveline with all these mounts. More pics after my girlfriend's iSuck iGay iMac iFail get's fixed, stay tuned

It's a rust colored red, it's gonna look sick. I can't stand boring black, I want to do something different. If it looks too honda scene I'll change it

I like your plans! I wanna do a different color on my new 6 spokes but gotta find something first!

It's going to be mudflap-less, I'm going for more a tarmac, street look with this car. I'll probably list them for sale when I take them off.

Red flaps are so purty though

Love the car!
Yeah, I am not looking forward to doing it, but I want to re-invent the car in a way I guess. They are WRC flaps from Susquehanna Motorsports, and cheaper then Rally Armor's UR's; I always loved the look and function of giant red flaps on white/silver cars. I got the idea from watching old Group B rally video's, I also have theories about the color red helping out with car visibility, especially if you're going flat out on public roads

I went down to my Mom's place in Harpswell today, drove the RS down into the Harbor with Neil Sooch. For some reason the right rear caliper is either seized or is sticking and it has ruined a good rotor. I'm hella pissed, add that to the expenses for this damn build.

I still need to order:

-Whiteline steering rack bushings

-KB pitch stop

-TiC 5mt linkage update

-Trans xmember bushings

-TiC master cylinder brace

--KB rear subframe outrigger bushings

I also need to schedule a tune at GSD, among other items on the agenda. I have my work cut out for me, if anyone wants to help wrench this season, PM me, my weekends are going to be booked from here til' June.

UPDATE 3/23/13:

So, Kartboy and I negotiated a sponsorship deal, I'm still sore on the terms of my endorsement, so if anyone needs some gay yellow barcode logo decals I have about 5 million of them:

I have wasted too much money on too many mounts for this thing. My GF is giving me a GFB BOV for my GC for my BDAY next month, almost as good as a BJ in a GD, but not as much.

Coming this spring:
-Gold wheels, since BBS's came gold stock on certain 04 STi's

-Granite State Dyno

-Lots of urethane to install

-Enjoy the car

I took it upon myself to install and test out my Kartboy Pitch Stop today. It wasn't as easy as everyone says, I had quite a fun time attaching it to the firewall side. And by fun, I mean it was miserably difficult.

Ware da intercoola at YO?

Also took this opportunity to bend some fins on my intercooler (nice going), and clean my Samco Y pipe, raisin was filthy.

Test drive: At startup, I already noticed the interior noise was much louder. Driving it around with the windows down it sounds awesome, it brings the engine noise closer to me and I like that. I didn't notice any handling/throttle response/etc. gains but I didn't really expect much anyway. In conclusion, this project only took about 2 hours to complete. Overall I would say I'm happy with the product, we shall see if it was worth the 120 dollar price tag.
