GClarks next car?

02ish nissan sentra. Snow skins and runnah'

I had one of these, 30 mpg, peppy and handles well for a sedan

And if you get one I have a megan strut brace and some cleared headlights

the lexus should be fine in the snow. just put some snowtires on it and get a set of chains.

it should have trac control to keep you inline. and it is a V8 so mileage isn't going to be corolla like.

ahem....tacoma and then youll do a 1uzfe swap......itll be fun but really, I had an 02 taco ext cab before the subie, bought it new off the line and sold it with 140k needing prob 1500 bucks for 7500...not the best on gas, 17mpg but I never ever had an issue.....anything german or swedish is a money pit...parts are stupid expensive and you always need a special tool.....nissans are no good either...radiator always lets go which mixes coolant and tranny fluid causing trans failure...or the rear diff blows up......if you simply want a beater, subaru/toyota/lexus/honda/acura turbo...parts are plentiful/cheap/and there stupid easy to fix....plus theres a guy named meyagi whos skilled in fixing all of them

The more I look into Volvos the more I don't want one. They seem hit or miss, with almost every model. Some people report going 300k trouble free miles, and others have their cars in the shop every week. And that's something I don't want. The idea of turbo luxury wagon is very appealing, but not when it's going to cost $$$$ to keep it on the road.

I wouldn't buy one. My father had one S60 T5(sister has it now) and it has always had stupid issues. Like the radio display randomly just not functioning. The 40+ spline coupler for the rear diff just vaporizing randomly. alignments, stupid sensors, $300 fog lights (WTF?).

as much as I love the V70R I wouldn't buy one unless it was a third or 4th.

I am firmly planted in the lexus camp here:

Pedro, what's your thoughts on the LS400?

V8 Lexus sounds good..

Oh and Lexus' have a 5x144.3 bolt pattern. I know a few cars that have the same pattern around here

It is big and comfy. It shares the driveline with the SC400, GS400.

the next generation of that 1UZfe is the 3UZFE that was badged the XX430. you get an extra gear in the transmission IIRC, a few more ponies.

The GS300 may be a good price point car for you. Still RWD and super comfy but V6 gets you some better mileage and it has some good style.

But I like that engine. It is what I want to put in an old RWD celica/corolla chassis.

Save time and energy, buy a manual rs. If it'll be dd you don't want to have to eff with it like that

I didn't want to be the one to say it, but a sled can only really be used 2 maybe 3 months a year, lifted obs can be used 13 months out of the year... wait...
