would post the dyno sheets too buts its kinda pointless. the sheet was printed after it was tuned in 90 degree weather after 15 passes. they read at 300whp and 315wtq. but in normal contions the HP is around 320 to the wheels.

heres the parts list after everything;

- HKS Hi-Power exhaust

- Invidia Down-pipe

- Agency Power Up-pipe

- Agency Power UEL Headers

- Samco Turbo Inlet

- HKS manual boost controler

- Open Source Stage 2 Tune, around 320 WHP

- ACT Street Clutch and light wieght Flywheel

and here is the what can be reused that i already had:

- Lightweight Crank Pulley

- Cobb Tranny Mount

- Kartboy Short Shifter w/ bushings

It looks great, I was gonna ask where you got it done but I see the last pic. Congrats. I wish I could afford to get my GC swapped.

i know, the power is nuts. it just wants to go, but it is still so easy to drive

ill post the dyno graphs for the hell of it for ya

befor the tune

dynocharts.jpg

after tune. 15 pulls in 90 degree weather in 4th gear. like i said should be more like 320

air/fuel and PSI

nice power, the first graph scared me until I realized it was before tune. Everything looks awesome congrats

fyi... say good bye to that motor. 20.5 lbs of boost on stock turbo stockblock is not a good idea... trust me i know! And I hope that's not just an off the shelf map and that it is a custom one to go with an mbc or yet again say good bye! oh and what the f@#$ is that intake off of? it doesn't look like my sti one.( i would have got a short ram). boost is way too high for a daily driver. I say 16-18psi is good anything over that ( on a stock turbo is making high temps too high for the top mount.). this would be good if you where only gonna track it but man I say 10k - 40k miles or so for that setup before something(like a ring or bearing says good by and hello fender

Iam not being a hater i think that this is great what you did. I just think the shop has no idea what they are doing, they swapped in a stock rs clutch and left a stock rs tranny and what looks to be an rs intake on an sti motor and let you leave with stock brakes and tires and suspension ( I would take that car to a shop that wouldnt have built the setup if you wouldnt have put a real clutch in the first time around!) with that boost you are in need of meth. Iam not messing around I put $10 in that it blows in 1 year, maybe 2 (if ya dont always drive it in boost)

i hate to agree with him, but a meth injection system should probaly be on your list to do.

not like OMG do this now our your gonna blow raisin up. the HP curve looks really good. looks like that did a nice job with the map. the stock intercooler should be more then enough for that power. i know the facemelter is runing simmalar numbers with the stock top mount and meth. and again i would look into picking up a intercooler sprayer at some point.

looks like a good job. bring it to the next meet so we can all check it out!

FYI it is only 17.5 PSI

might want to learn how to read a graph the air/fuel is 20.5

so no need for the meth.

and no its not an off the shelf map, it was tuned on the dyno

and i would have gladly gotten the tranny, brakes, and suspension if u wanted to give me like another 10 grand

the car is acctually incredibly driveable. and the tranny can handle it as long as i dont do anything stupid when i shift

ya ECS did a great job with everything. they did the tune and everything, turned out awsome

if ECS did the tune, you don't have anything to worry about. the meth and the intercooler sprayer will give you more reliable power by managing the heat. somthing you'll want to look into inthe long term but in the short term enjoy it and run the piss out of it.

i don't remember if you have gauges installed or not, but you should defanatly hook some up. boost, oil pressure, oil temp and an EGT gauge will keep an eye on all your vitals. prosports are cheep enough to get them all at a good price. and yes i realised your straped right now after that. but things for the future ;D

if you have to save anyway, i would say skip the egt gauge and get the prosport wideband o2 gaiuge coming out in a couple months. the owner said its gonna match the rest of the gauges too.

Nice job. The install looks real clean, like it came that way. There's nothing wrong with the air box either. It's a stock STI unit. Since when do you need to run Meth with 17.5psi of boost? that's not too much. And the engine/turbo will hold up fine.

Pat, any engine will blow if you abuse it. I guarantee you were running way more boost and a poor tune when you blew yours up. Who tuned yours again? And it blew eh? Hmmmm...

JCovey2.5, enjoy that wagon. It must be a blast.

which is why i mentioned meth.

yeah that's def the stock intake arm. the RS intake would come from the firewall side of the motor and be totally different. theres no need for an intake either since the stock airbox will support 400whp.

i'm pretty sure ecs knows what they're doing. that's a pretty standard setup he's got, so i'm sure they're more than used to tuning it. and yeah, they may have left the stock tranny and clutch in there, but who knows what the story is on that.

my best guess is that he didnt have the extra $6000 to pony up for a 6spd in the zero notice situation he was in when his old motor blew up. dropping the money on an sti swap is hard enough, the tranny doubles the cost.
