Learn the rules of the road,

to make my case stronger i will lay out a scenario that happened just this evening on my way home from Auburn.

i was on the highway passing a fellow and we were passing the Newport on ramp. there was a truck that was entering the highway and the dipshit in the left lane started to merge INTO ME! all because he was extendind a bit of common courtesy. he damn near ran me and my family off the road because he feels those entering the highway have right of way.

i am an ass i know this. wife gets mad at me for not stopping for people trying to cross the road if they aren't in crosswalks. go figure.

Obviously he was not looking before merging. Extending common courtesy also means looking in the mirror before changing lanes. I think you're just an asshole driver magnet.

 
By law Rez is correct. When entering a limited access highway you have to yeild.

Its a courtousy to give room for those entering, Only a courtousy, and if you don't get courtousy suck it up snack ferry! Becaues sometimes its crowded and there isn't room to move over.

Have any of you ever driven in Boston recently? If you want to enter the highway you have to find your spot (however minuscule it is) and gun it. The merge lanes are shorter in greater B-town than Maine, its fun. ;D

Sometimes there is so much traffic entering and exiting that traffic just stops... think 3 times over capacity and everyone is trying to qualify.
