Looking for subaru

Hey my names kyle and im looking into getting a subaru and i would like some suggestions. Ill have around 3000 to spend so any ideas i was looking at 02 Impreza OBS bad idea?

 
if you can get 02 obs for 3K that's a good deal

or you can buy my Brighton for 1K

a 2002 OBS for 3k is great.

Just to give you an idea, I bought my 1999 Outback Sport in October for about $6000 (from a used car dealership). Lots of new stuff got put on it (timing belt stuff, all 3 wipers, and after I bought it they later replaced the windshield, some minor stuff, and the catalytic converter with a 2001 cat).

Thanks you all, im also looking at 99-00 impraza, i know you can customize them a lot but what about performance wise?

 
that's of course, not a V7 or V8 swap, but a turbo nevertheless.or you could do a EJ22T swap, like spin did. cheap and it works.....sometimes

including cost of labor cause i couldn't swap it, but im also looking at volvo s70 t5's and im leaning toward them

I've driven an auto volve t5. They're fast. If you are going to get one of those though, get a wrx instead

u just love to do engine swaps don't u man? =P i am aware that turbo volvos break but is almost a chance ill take for amazing speed
