Looking for subaru

Settle on a late 90's Outback Sport, or Impreza, and then mod it as you can. You can get them looking and goin real good, with out spending a lot of money initially. And they are very reliable and easy to work on!!

 
i think i may do that does an 00' impreza sound decent i have found a couple, i know i cant turbo it but wht can u do BESIDE SWAP OUT, to increase HP?

i agree with Bratman on late model Imp or OBS. On a regular NA its pretty hard to get decent HP gain for not a lot of money

Exhaust, intake, cams and you're pretty much done, unless you have a big pile of money for complete engine beef up.

 
lmao i really want a 02 impreza but at this stage its looking non existant =( but if i can find one im all over it. Dont mind all these questions but when it comes to interiors subaru is kinda of how do u say...shabby? can u make the interior look nice? if so cheaply?

 
Easy to do things im assuming? and yes ive looked up gauges and there is a s*** ton of them first thing though...a kicking sound system

 
Stay away from the 2.5 litre motors though, unless they are turbo. The N/A 2.5's have head gasket issues!! The worst is the 96-99 2.5, but the newer ones have it too. Stick with the 2.2 N/A, or go turbo!! But turbos are more pricey!!!

 
If it's your first car, don't go turbo!! Get used to controlling something with less power first!!

 
For your first car, get something with a 2.2L and manual transmission. Learn how to drive, then get a fast car.

 
ok that's guys uve helped a lot, im also going for the impreza so i can do some minor off road stuff, playing in the dirt

Beat me again. Definitely do not go turbo. Get an Imp or OBS and get used to driving it for a while. Few years down the road you may start thinking about upgrading. But "fast" should not be your priority when choosing FIRST car...

 
You will be amazed at the fun and capability a 2.2 Impreza has in store!! I have had 2, and they are great!! And if you take decent care of it, it will last for a long time!!! And like I said, you can do a lot to them to make them look great, and go pretty good too!! And then in the future, when you get some money saved up, you can do a turbo motor swap!!
