Maine Fishermen?

:laughing4: crazy quiz :laughing4:

We usually steam them then just add a bit of butter and salt. To me its a greeny taste of corn, on the asparagoose side of things.

St George River, ideal tides, ideal weather, Father's Day. Me and my dad have literally been fishing there all my life.

So....we got soaked, cold, ate lunch in the boat sheltering under oaks hanging over the river...

caught.....squat. nobody on the river caught squat, tho the local guides allowed that the stripers were hitting pretty good leading up to Father's Day

The Skunk ruled. :bootyshake:

Worked on the boat today...caught a few stripers on a 6 hour shallow water trip. They are still very south. York area seems to be about as high as they've made it in any amount of good numbers.

We chartered a family friend's boat (Same guy I mentioned I work for) yesterday and had an amazing time. We saw what I think was a baby and adult humpback whale. Cod fishing was steady. Either puny small throwbacks, or very nice sized keepers. Notable catches were 12, 13,11,16 lb cod, a 7 lb haddock, a 15 lb pollock.... oh...and this 43 LB COD that my cousin (shown) hooked and I reeled up for him.

EDIT: My apologies about the picture size.

This is turning into the Dave6265 fishing thread :occasion14:

Well to update my thread here hehe..... We caught the first bluefish of the year...enjoy the stripers while they last!
