Everybody probably already knows this... but today I was bored while working and was messing around with google and realized I can set a google home page background! Awesome, now every time I'm trying to get something done and load google I get distracted

There's no significants. It just is. Yes my email is showing. All I use gmail for is for talking on IM. I have my own server for email that I like much better than what gmail has to offer.

 
So for stupid people, how did you get that on the background of google? And I have a computer issue you have to come help me with when you get time!!

 
There's a little link in the bottom left of the google web page about adding a background. As nate said you might need to have a google account. I dunno. Since I've been using the same firefox config files on my computer for years it's still logged in from when I used gmail for email...

I can do that next week.

So today I have been working on computers ALL day. I've been upgrading someone's production server, websites, and a lot on my own systems ... I have only been outside to go grab an allen tool from my car to get one of the systems apart... At least I'm kinda sick today because of bad sun poisoning... so not a horrible day to be in, but I'd have loved to been outside. Probably just as well I'm in. haha. But ya, I can venture out to the Waldo town sometime next week.

Did anybody know that xserver just had an upgrade that breaks the 500 line config file I wrote by hand last year to run 9 screens on random cards across networks? well it does ... It sucks. haha. I caused the need for around 2 and a half hours of programming, and somehow I slashed around 50 lines from the file

Also, has anybody ever had sun poisoning on their lips before and had them swell and get all bubbly and goat? It's one of the most painful disgusting things ...

Is Xserver mac's server software? I've never understood the use of macs over linux for servers. Mac over Windows, sure.

 
xserver is the software layer between your graphical environment and the graphic driver. I don't deal much with macs as servers.

 
Shall do. Whats going on? If I know what's going on there's a chance I'll be able to bring the right parts/software/whatever to get it fixed.

 
On start up it just dies, and sometimes repeatedly. Then it will come back on, I'll log in and sometimes it dies again!! always comes out of it, but theres obviously an issue, and it's quite annoying!
