Matts First Gen SS

Probably not a bad idea. If you want it done right, and have it look good, it's worth finding a good shop. I personally think this car is worth having fixed up right! Not many first gen Legacy turbos around anymore.

I can give you the number of my buddy that did the bodywork on my car. He does great work and is very affordable. Ryan has had work done by him too if you want a second opinion.

My car is getting painted by joe as we speak, you can see 3 examples of his work at the group drive. assuming we all go!

Been pretty busy so not much has gone on with it. Sitting on a stock pile of parts to give the legacy more hp. Just need time to do it.

Replaced the shifter assembly with a forester XT assembly to eliminate the mystery shifts. Need the right roll pin though so it's tighter. Cranked up the coil overs for the dirt drive, didn't go high enough and Dan and I flattened the exhaust all the way back and burned up the turbo to down pipe gasket. Replaced that with an oem gasket for the same cost as eBay garage.

Needed winter tires and rims for this winter so I got lucky and scored a set of brand new studded snows for free and bought a set of 15" vw bbs wheels which got the winter color treatment. Wrx 16" rims

With worn tires are for sale.

Enjoy.

Are you worried about your car getting lost in a snowbank? I don't think that will happen with those wheels. Should look great for snow shenanigans.

Wheel color reminds me of the 90s.  Nice!

You'll have to get a Fade hairdo, bust out your trapperkeeper and neon colored wind breaker / wind pants.  Throw some Cypress Hill in the cassette player, and you're all set!

On a serious note, the wheels will look slammin' on the white SS while owning up some snow covered back roads.

Meh. Mike has informed me of a dude with a very sweet car I may need to check out come spring time.

I can fix most anything. Rust repair is not my thing sadly. Outsource or give no f}• when I do it.

well update time.....cars been sitting idle at home as i gather parts and pieces for the build...i decided to buy a truck since im always in need of hauling stuff lately. As some of you know i am the certified used car tech for prime toyota and most every car we sell goes through me first so when this incredibly clean 06' tundra double cab trd rolled through i jumped on it and made a deal. My intention is to drive the truck while i tear down the subaru.

As of late the clutch has been giving up the ghost, 4th gear boosting and itll just slip and it grabs at the very top of the pedal....its junk. So my question is to you wrx owners...i can buy a complete clutch for a wrx and itll all swap over. Overall goal is 250-300 hp, i honestly hate the 5spd 3.90 gear ratio so if it blows it up oh well....whats your opinion on a set up.

4.44 forester tranny or JDM sti tranny. Hella fun and gets you up to 100 in no time (not that you need to go faster than 65). Gas mileage is not so good, but who cares!!
