New to me Leggy (Now with more Ti)

Cleaned out the throttle body yesterday. It wasn't that dirty at all. So hopefully no more stickage.
On my 96 it was having a weird problem where it wasn't idling right sometimes, and opening the throttle from completely closed it was just a bit sticky. Enough to make driving the stickshift smoothly impossible. I finally swapped out to a different throttle body, which fixed it.

Turns out the shaft on which the butterfly is bolted was wearing into the TB casing and causing it not to close all the way/stick.

That car has a slew of really weird/annoying problems.

Eight pieces of aluminum. each 23.5 long and 15.5 wide. need to fabricate skid plates NOW!

I would like to make 2 or 3

Should I bolt together since they already have holes??? I need some advice here!

So I picked up an 02 wrx cat back from Rad not too long ago.. here are my plans. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It looks as if I need to extend the cat back 8 1/2 to 9 inches total.. What I was thinking about doing was taking the resonator/cat out all together and welding in a straight pipe at the length I need . If I do this it looks as if all the hangers should line up quite well.

here are some photos.

In doing some more research about this exhaust I think it may be an 05ish WRX / STi exhaust not a 02 WRX.

So I found out that it is a 05-07 WRX cat back!!

So this is the plan... cut out the resonator, weld in tubing and weld that to the mid pipe. all the while extending it the 8 1/2 to 9 inches it needs. SWEET!

Any comments or suggestions on this??

Just make sure you do it all in place. Put the cat back in, and attach the exhaust hangers to get it sitting where it needs to be, and then tack weld it, then remove and finish weld!

Got the Hankooks mounted the other day.
