Okay okay, my food and price was averaged for both of the "oh-my-goodness-I-can't-believe-you-even-had-the-gall-to-mention-those-horrid-places" restaurants: Food and Price Rating= 4.5

Famous Dave's= it was a place the group hadn't tried before, and YES Gabe told me last week that ya'll would never decide on it because the food is average. I have only been there twice and when we are searching for a place to eat, it is not one of my suggestions. Texas Roadhouse has my vote on the best ribs, best prices EVER.

As for the price of Famous Dave's, you get meat, and 3 sides for about $8.00- how is that not affordable??

Chinese Buffet= Again, just throwing something different out there, even though I ate at that exact place yesterday and had a bad shrimp, and then composed the suggestion BECAUSE their food quality varies, sometimes you get the best, sometimes you get not so great food.

Portland Pie SALAD= It most definately was the best salad I ever had, and we continued to drive there daily after that for about 3 weeks straight getting salads for dinner. The salad was huge, filled with meat, and very fresh veggies.

My food expectations are rather high, and I am willing to travel for good food. This is why you don't hear me say, "Uhmmm YUMMY" when places like Gridiron and others are mentioned. Places like Gridiron aren't picked because of their award winning I-taste-like-a-rump- ribs, they are picked for convenience.

Margarita's has 19 different locations, so I'm sure that is considered a chain.

Tortilla Flat sounds amazing, I'd be willing to try that.

Strip Club= last I heard it costs $5.00 just to park in the parkinglot in Westbrook.

I am always willing to try new dining experiences, and love to support locally owned establishments, the tough thing with those, is they're usually crammed on a block with little to no parking.

find out what member has a combination of the biggest kitchen and the most parking in thier yard....BANG U have a location with good food, cheap booze of choice and a place to see carz!

I'm glad the salad rocked!

Here's another one:

Lion's Pride in Brunswick

The food is fantastic...probably like a 4 out of 5. It's pretty reasonably priced. The beer is INSANE, the tap list makes novare look like Sebago

. Went there with some friends I got out with my bill being $50...$9 of which was food the rest was beer. They have cheaper pours for those that aren't really into beer. A full bar too. The parking is adaquate, the inside is pretty big. It was completely empty when i went. I'm sure we can reserve something there. The vegetarian options are pretty limited, which was kind of a bummer for me. But the 3 meat eating friends I brought liked it.

We're talking Westveltaren Beers, Cantillon, De Struise, all the best stuff, you cant get. I had De Struise Pannepot on tap...one of 30 kegs in the world...all of which this guy owns.

how long have you been of the herbivore variety?

Ebenezer's in Lovell was voted the #1 place to drink beer in the US by an industry Mag last fall, i haven't been there but i have talked to a few people about it and hear that it is amazing you will find stuff there you will never find anywhere else in the country. Has someone been there so they can chime in with more detail about it

Andy check out their website's top menu bar with the pics of all the taps. Samichlaus is in it! Need I remind you that is the beer i destroyed my friend's night with on your suggestion hahaha. he got refused at fore play like an hour later hahaha

hmmmm... looks neato!

Other than when I first looked at the site I thought it said Lowell and not Lovell..

gosh that looks like a 2+ hour drive for me... swell

im not really into drinking then driving but beer seems to be rather important so why hasnt anyone brought up the great lost bear? over 50 beers on tap good food for meat eaters and veggie peeps and there is a few large "rooms" im sure we could rent out. how many people do we think are going?
