OFF ROAD ENTHUSIASTS:
I was getting tired of getting kicked out of all my old off-road trails and decided that people still enjoy 4-wheeling. The state has changed so many laws closing trails during mud season, written permission needed to cross over every owners' land and private individuals closing their land to off-road use. There is just no place left to go that you do not get into trouble. It is also against the law to ride ATVs, dirtbikes or trucks on CMP land also known as "the powerlines". Only snowmobiles can ride on this land. There is a $500 fine if you get caught.
We have 400+ acres of land that we would like everyone to enjoy. The trails have now been cut, although they still need stumps pulled and brush cleared. There are many trails that we have not even been on since the cutting. Tenting is very primitive. We have tent sites only. There is no running water but we have a portapotty.
You can just come to hike. We allow anything that runs. ATV's, trucks, 3-wheelers, dirtbikes, ANYTHING!
People can bring clippers, saws, chainsaws, etc. and help maintain the trails with us - the help would be appreciated. We work mostly on the weekends & nights after work.
We ask that you drive slow, low-range, and stay safe. This is not a race track!
As for fires, BE VERY CAREFUL, especially during the dry seasons. Use supplied fire rings & there is plenty of old wood on the ground to cut up. We do not want any trees cut down, but feel free to clip any branches on trees as far as you can reach. This will help with maintaining the property for all to enjoy.
We are asking for a maintenance fee of $10 per motorized vehicle per day to help repair damages to the trails. Towing help is available during daylight hours only .
We have natural trails which include rock climbing, mud holes, hill climbs, etc. and various other obstacles will be made in the future.
