Spring Group Drive

So my engine didn't blow up. And after a lot of horrible abuse my transmission shifts better. Weird.

If my engine survived all that WOT and redline, it should be good for a while longer.

Oh, and only used 3/4 tank of gas too

Next thing with this is to 5speed it. Dunno about building an engine... sorta partly saving up for a 6cyl. I have the know-how to do the swap, when I have the money I will.

Next up is dirt drive though, so I need to prep my car for that. Need to replace blown rear shocks, front axles, adjust the alignment a bit more, and weee!!!

some how g only got seperated about 5 times and 2nd group lost 3 times but in all a great day and the back roads was a great choice g picked a great route and it was a blast cant wait for the next one.. will post up some pics later tonight

What we should have done was have two groups. But no one else knew the route

. With such a large group and so many turns, people were bound to get separated. I'm just glad we all met up on Cadillac.

So a quick lowdown on what happened:

We all met in Augusta on time and left on time. The drive to Ellsworth was very smooth and no one got left behind. We stopped for gas in Ellsworth and when we were about to leave, Airx had some trouble getting his car started. I, leading, couldn't see all the way back so I assumed that we were all together.

When we entered Mt Desert Island, most of us went right and then another group(who waited with airx) went to Bar Harbor. Group 1 stopped on Cape Rd to figure out where everyone went. Got a hold of Chris(second group) and we decided to meet up in South West Harbor. After meeting up in SW Harbor, we headed off to Cadillac were we again thought we had everyone. Some how, Gabe and a few others become disoriented and went somewhere else

.

We waited, saw that Gabe went the right way, and headed up Cadillac Mt. At the top, we ran into heavy rain and the rest of the group. So we headed down and stopped at the visitor center for food and pictures. Some sidewards action attracted the attention of the park rangers, so we scooted right out of there

.

The rest of the drive went fine again.

Weather wasn't the best, but it could have been much worse. At least we got some sunny breaks.

I'll get some pictures in a bit

im glad you all enjoyed the route. sad that the group got split and some might have missed sargents drive.

glad I could help GClark set up a fun route and visit parts of the island that most people don't get to see.

guess the pressure is on me and my brother ReZDoG to get the next Dirty Drive planned...
