Storyland 2008 4/26 and 4/27

There is no max db rule as far as I know. i tried to propose one, but of course nothing was done with it.

Yeah, a high flow cat would be in STX... but still fun.
just checking, you know mine can be a bit obnoxious

I am going to be so screwed up, must learn what grip is!
Yeah, stafford springs didnt really help teach anyone anything about grip, especially Sunday Afternoon...

woot, hoot! looks like both the Moody's will be attending this one >

rookie questions.

We, son and I, plan on doing more than one CMC auto-x this year. Do I need to do a 'Minor Release Form' every event? He is 16 yrs old with driver's license. Should I have it done before the event? Witnesses needed? Sounds like it will be easier to do at Reg. in the morning of the event. I will be present whenever the kid is there.

Can the kid ride with others?

Can others (memebers of course) ride with the kid for coaching purposes?

Does CMC still do rookie of the year? If so, will switching back and forth between classes defunct chances for that award?

What do auto-Xs cost these days? W/family membership?

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. No

4. Yes

5. Yes

6. Yes, no classes do not effect the reward its a popularity contest.

7. 25.00 for members, but its up for discussion at the next meeting the last week in march.

and what else ;D >

hopefully more than one rallyX. Might just do single entries (him only) for that. We're struggling with every penny these days. But def. dont want the kid ignant in the ways of car slinging and cone farmin. The car is prepared, might as well abuse it..I mean use it.

Well, it looks as though the Supra will not be making it to Storyland after all. :crybaby2:

We did not get enough bushings for it to be finished in time, even if we ordered them now they would take too long to arrive. And now it's time for the Subies to get in the garage.

Oh well, doesn't look like I will be driving at all that weekend anyway. Surgery ended up a little more than expected! :sad5: I may still come to spectat and maybe take some rides.

Hey shoot me a PM and let me know what you need for bushings. I might be able to get some made quickly.

Thanks Pedro, but even if we did get them in time I still wouldn't be able to drive it because of my foot. So it's really no big rush at this point. Thanks for offering to help though! It will definitely be ready and I will be driving it to the next event after Storyland.

Okay week of bump!!!

How are all the projects going? Anyone else counting down the hours?

Everything that needed to get done to my car is done and I'm hoping to sneak in a brake flush, heat cycling tires, and slight tweaks to my boost maps this week. The car feels nothing like it did last year and I can't wait to see how it does on course!!!

Heres looking forward to a great weekend and hopefully great weather :occasion14:

Insurance Co. Dragging their feet.. basically not paying the place to fix the Miata.
Well it has been only .... 6 months? I mean these things take time. :violent5:
That sucks big time, but the magic 8 ball says.... "Drive someone else's rig".

I'm mounting my tires tonight, Saturday AM putting in the crash bolts and aligning it for max camber. FSB is in. I'm ready to roll. My car has never felt so good as it does right now. I'm expecting a meteor to hit it while I'm at work.

Hahaha my tires are still in the back of the gf's car (which she is very pleased about) and I keep expecting the "Uuuummm someone broke into my car" phone call. Good to hear the car feels good, looking forward to seeing you out there Sun. :thebirdman:
