Storyland 2008 4/26 and 4/27

Ohhhh Gotcha, I wouldnt (IMO) recommend more than -1.5* in the rear... generally for everyday cars -.75* to -1* in the rear.
-1.9 only rubs a little and it feels super through a corner. Will there be any disadvantages to running more then -1.5, aside from rubbing?

Now that i think about it -1.9 may not be rubbing. I might have only been happening before the alignment when camber was a bit much. :icon_scratch:

Good thought about the rubbing. Technically the more camber you run (especially on the street) the more uneven tire wear you get, also, it does reduce your contact patch, so, braking and acceleration are diminished slightly (I know I know, we have AWD cars and its in the rear, but still). Also, if you dialed out some camber, your car my be willing to rotate more (although some toe out in the rear would do that too :happy3:)

well drove mine to work today, goes nice with the stiffer set up. to bad I can't drive it until this weekend! Lancaster PD finally realized my inspection sticker ran out in January! Started off saying he was gonna give me a ticket, illegal to drive uninspected MV, I explained why not inspected (tried failed OBDII, O2 and Knock sensors), then said maybe he'd give me a written warning. Came back to the car and said he wouldn't write me up, but he didn't want to see the car again until it was inspected. Back to driving the rally car to work! He said he could believe no one had stopped me for it yet!

see you all Saturday!

Try doing that in Massholeville. Right.

Let's see...I need to do a bunch of prep for my ride before the race....hmmm where do I begin...

Oh yeah, I get in it on Saturday, start it up and drive to the race. Too many hot shoes to think about making points, and of course MOODY will be there. :angry4:

I'm -2.6 degrees up front and -1.6 rear. They're both maxed out. I just run that much in the rear do decrease any chance of rubbage (a la Neptune last year). The tire wear evens out pretty good in my experiences, taking corners hard wears the outer edges and running negative camber all the time helps even that wear out.

no worries i just called you guys im coming up for lunch time. see you shortly shorty hahahahhahahaha

as for the amount... trial and error. i figure by the end of the season we'll have what we need worked out. it's probaly a little too much. so im going to back it way down. even though it feels awsome right now.

I was watching this and wondering; if you were gonna bother recording it, why didn't you keep trying until you got a good launch :laughing4:

Sure was a fun drive! :evil1:

Mostly packed. Stuff still needs to be loaded into the car.

The e-pie caravan leaves @ 7:00. My friend Garth is headed up with us Saturady instead of Sunday. It should be a nice weekend. Any rain is going to miss us on Sunday, i can tell. :happy3:

I was hoping someone was gonna post from their hotel room. I'm ready to roll and was wondering what I missed today.

I'll be there in the moring with Ferrari. Looks like he got his car done and is ready to give'er hell.

Wish I had remembered this during the week shorty, but forgot I had a broken wheel stud until I got 10 minutes from my house tonight. Looks like I'm out for tomorrow. Hope it was a good event

If I had a wheel stud to replace it I would have but I'm S.O.L for parts on a saturday.
Any Napa has wheel studs in stock( Like $7-9 bucks ). I replaced a few on my STI, because of taken my race tires OFF/ON/OFF/ON/OFF. Also you could replace it at Storyland's lot. (like 15 mins total)
