Storyland 2008 4/26 and 4/27

we have a drift class now with SCCNH, and yes, we drifted theyre course. im not gonna say it was perfect, some of us did some cone killing, but all in all, i think it was decent. drifting an autocross course is tough because its quick transitions, and to hang onto it, shift, e-brake, change directions, blah blah blah, its tough lol. i definately need more practice, but did way better then that first run at the evercross last year. :nono: so if i go at it with you CMC guys this year, expect to see some 285's on the 240, and a lot of smack talk on here.. lets hope i dont get ambitious! muahahahaha!

*sits back in chair, reconsiders previous statement as a potential death sentence if all these people, and thinks, maybe i'll just run the forester instead..*

Mike I'll be handing the keys off a few times this year on a mostly first come first serve basis, so you probably will be given the chance :violent4:
I'll never ask someone for a co-drive this year since i'm such a goat about my car being driven by others, my old lady will attest to that. I do need a rig for my chair run at my event though.

I'd love to run ESP with you and Antonio...we should work something out next year where i buy a set of super fatty A6's for us and we both drive your rig! hahaha...

I think everyone can attest to that :icon_porc:. You're more than welcome to my machine for the chair run. What event are you chairing?
Come on in the water's fine!!! Hhhhhmmm that could be tempting, it sure would leave me with more money for non wear items... :evil1:

number of reasons, i think my MAF is on it's way out, and the o2's are getting tired GReddy exhaust, not the borlas that there running. and the most important... I've developed a exhaust leak between the mid and Axel back.

so i have some work to do before the car sounds and runs good again and i enjoy driving it.

if you chair another event feel free to grab it for the chair run

Not to mention the unstoppable header leak from the napa special pipes. The GReddy sounds nice inside the car, but is definitely quieter outside.

Woah!

Evil and Ralli had the exact same best time on Sunday! Wow...
That is pretty wild!!

I have both of those runs on video and you can see where we did a couple things differently and still came across with the same time!

:occasion14:

alright, after talking with joel and peter, i have a plan of attack on my car.

1. replace maf. i thought it was just me, until peter drove it and went " dude somethings not right with your car"

2 put back in the stock camber bolts. im sick of LOVING with the eibach ones.

3. tighten up the sway bar.

4 don't set up the car for someone elses driving style. i set it up like peters car. and he likes his nice and tight and sticky, i drive with the ass end a little more loose.

end result

car that has power doesn't bog and skip, no more problems with camber sliding all over the place. and a car that's set up for my driving style.

we'll see how it turns out.

akina.. your car sounded like it was down a cyl or something on Sat. sounded really strange.

yeah i think that's the maf doing that. cheep fix. $50 something bucks from joel. should take care of the lack of power and sputtering and all that crap. we'll see what happens wendsday when i put it in.

that and the exaust leak makes it sound funny. that's getting fixed too. and hopefully the suspention settings will help me keep my line better.

Kinda fun to see I finished mid pack in a car with a "funky" set up and I beat RallyK
Kathy, can you please come to the remainder of events and do this everytime????? :occasion14:
Kathy, you really should come to some more events. We will be in the same class!! You may just beat me while I'm learning the supra.

Peter and Mike are afraid to be in my class with the supra.... :dontknow:

2 put back in the stock camber bolts. im sick of loveing with the eibach ones.
Huh?
I hope you are referring to the rear :sad5:. The front loves camber and I think your car is going to push more if you run less front neg camber without making changes to the rear.

Anyways if you need a hand, advice, or some one to drive your car :drunken_smilie: let me know.

yeah the back ones there the ones that keep slipping.

hey anyone else notice that we have a swear filter? loveing raisin love ass hahaha

that just likes the word f uck

love love love love hahaha

Aaaahhh good plan then. I really liked the feel of you car last year (yeah I know I was only riding). I think that + better tires would have been a pretty good setup.

And it makes much more LOVING sense now. Apparently the filter only filters really dirty raisin though, we're a PG-13 board.

Hmmm, never had a problem with those camber bolts before, I did have one run that I bounced hard of a bump and one of them slipped.. but I had also put them in that morning not really paying attention, after I fixed and tightened I had no problems.. on rcomps at that. That is weird...

I did find one of evil's rear camber bolts to be rather loose though when we adjusted his before his drive home..

I'm willing to compete with your Supra, if you're offering.

I'd sooo like to try this sport with a RWD... sigh.
You in STX??

I'm willing to race against anyone...I don't think I'm going to be very good at all in the supra. It's not going to be very hard for anyone to compete against the supra. It's going to be very different for me...a lot of adjusting! At least we have quite a few decent size lots this year so I have some room to move around! :drunken_smilie:
