subaru using cheap paint?

i just hope they take it to a good body shop, maybe moodys. i will then proceed to clear shield as much of the hood as i can. right now the issue is me going without transportation for a few days, which cannot happen comfortably. i was told at first that i would get a loaner, and now they are saying it wasnt part of the coverage provided by SoA. might have to call mommy and ask for rides :-P

^^^^ Hahaha. that's it Joel. I'm coming in were getting those chips taken care of on my hood, fender, bumper, and side skirts. AND I WANT A LOANER!!!!

car is going to be dropped off monday night, and in the paint shop tuesday, due to be completed and ready to pick up wednesday night. in the meantime i AM getting a loaner, so all is good. they told me they're taking the car to a Frank Galos body shop down the road... i can only hope they are good....

Has anybody here considered getting a clear bra (clear film?) for their car? I read through this thread and didn't really see it get mentioned.... just wondering

I considered it. I might just get a leather one, and I'm definitely getting one of those wind/bug deflectors for my hood.

im getting Venture Shield done on my hood right here at the shop, retails at $249 for the hood, add $49 for the fenders too. seems steep until ya gotta repaint the hood.... best protection out there.

I've seen cars with it applyed and even after 60k miles it still looks great. No fade and if you polished the vinyl it shined right up.

you can wash and wax it up just like it wasnt even there!
