The unofficial GUN talk thread

I'm offering full or partial trigger jobs on Glocks. I can do a full polish and 3.5lb trigger connector for $50 (includes parts). Or full spring swap and polish for $70 (includes parts). PM me if interested.

Smooths out/lightens the trigger pull. Polish along with trigger bar makes a HUGE difference over stock. All 4 of my Glocks have this done.

Might have to take you up on that in a while. Speaking of glocks, i went to cabelas looking foe a spare mag for my 27, super easy to find. It was the only glock mag they had

Let me know.

And I imagine that anything high cap was gone long ago. Easy to find 10 round mags for baby Glocks.

I did a little sustainment training yesterday with HammerFour. Ran the new Glock 34. For those with Facebook here's an album of pics.

These are our groups.. 5 and 7 yards. Draw from the holster engage the target with a controlled pair. That's about 24 shots, out of 4 magazines with reloads. Little spraying but that black square for reference is 1.5"x1.5" and the thin outline is 5"x5".

looks nice! been contemplating an afg on my ar but im not too sure yet

Glock parts. The factory mag release wasn't real great, had to reposition the gun in my hand to push it In far enough. Got a oem extended one for 3 dollars, and the extended slide releases are 11 dollars

I'd like to have one...mag release. I never use the slide release.

Nate some day soon I'll hook up with you for some trigger massaging.

Possibly, but I was going to do it on my competition G17. I suppose you'd be ok if your carry was inside a IWB holster all day or any holster that covered the trigger correctly.

Screw that... Modify the trigger. If a modified trigger is going to help you shoot better, then it's just less chance of someone getting hurt that wasn't intended to. A legally justified shooting in self defense is well... LEGAL. Doesn't matter if it's a 2lb pull or a 17lb pull. All my carry and non carry Glocks have work done to the triggers.

If you don't want it to go off... keep your finger off the trigger!

Some of those kydex things are heated too close to the trigger, like those necklace holsters. You can see the outline of the trigger under the kydex. that's what scares me with a 2lb trigger. Holstering up and BANG! My IWB kydex grabs the trigger guard nicely but theres no shadow/outline of the trigger thru the kydex. Lots of space and lack of contact near the trigger. Cramming a 2lb hot pistol in there wouldn't be a problem but some holsters would be. Would be a whisker too close.

Def would not put a 2lb trigger in my pocket or under the belt without a healthy trigger guarded holster such as a pocket holster or IWB type deal.

My competition holster is no problem. Pretty much only gravity holding it in there. Trigger bounce would be the only thing I'd be concerned with. Some stages have specified round counts and a bounce or two would mess up those stages quick. But occasional bounce would be ok with me, the performance gains elsewhere would more than make up for it.

Anyways. My son is giving up on his AR build due to lack of quality control with some of the lower receiver manufacturers. PARTS available (no lower receivers). Contact me if you need some higher end stuff.

Whoa... I don't know if you could even make a Glock 2lbs trigger nor would it be safe.... Most of the guns with just a polish and a 3.5lb trigger bar still meter in the 4.5-5lb range. You can swap some springs and you will basically only get it down around 4. But smooth and crisp with a shorter reset.

I wouldn't want them that lose really. Come play around with mine someday. you can feel the difference over your stock G17.

Also.. Whats he selling for parts? I just put together a lower tonight. looking for an upper, and bolt carrier group.

I'll send you a message later today. He has an upper, no barrel, can't remember brand. sold the carrier already, has YHM free float tube. I'll get a list
