The unofficial GUN talk thread

Im only thinking of concealed on occasion, IWB with sweatshirts loose t-shirts etc. I don't mind loosing some concealability for a good shooting, good feeling ultra reliable handgun.

My biggest concern with a Glock is the grip feeling. I keep hearing people love it, but if you don't love it you probably hate it. Im going to have to get my hands on one to see how it feels.
I was the same way, the Glock didn't "feel" great to me. That is why I went with the Spring Field XD. It has to feel perfect to you and just you.

Get the glock, its a tank as you say and you will be much happier with a .45acp down the road then carrying a dinky 9mm just cause its smaller. many a meth head/zombie can run through a POOP ton of little 9mm rounds but a .45 is a man stopper.

HAHA ^ I was searching for an article from them earlier about 45 vs.9mm.

Lots of cool info on that site, and just proves it doesn't matter so much what caliber you shoot, as long as you can hit what you are aiming at and are comfortable and safe using the firearm.

Definitely put the Glock (or any handgun, for that matter) in your hand before you buy. I did not like the feel of a Glock that I tried.

I had a gun that I pretty much just bought, and then tried in my hand. I didn't like the feel, and I didn't shoot it well. When I traded it for a new one, I tried a lot of different ones.

I had the chance to put about a hundred rounds through my lc9 before I bought it. Not only did I know it fit me well I knew icould shoot it half decent too. If something doesn't feel right in the hand, there's dozens more that are similar that might fit better. Still haven't found a full sized gun that is as comfy as my ruger mkii target with hogue grips

And I don't have to speak to Glocks reliability, and build quality.
yes. Proven by law enforcement officers daily all over the country.

I'd get the 21sf if it feels good. If you can't carry it use it as a glove box piece or under the seat piece and practice pistol until you can find the tiny lil thing you can tolerate stuffed into your shorts. Wait! Oh that didn't sound right..

DO what is right for you.

Glock 21 all the way if it is comfy in your hand. I have carried one for years and they are an awesome weapon!
Trying to overcompensate for something? I prefer a Glock 22 (.40) with Speer Golddot 185 grain.... You want a high speed bullet that is sure to kill, Plus you get more ammo in the mag. Not to mention, I can carry it off duty and conceal it (giggity).

Of course Levi your girlie hands can hold it. Is it Pink??

You will learn that that you carry your little 40 so you can run away and shoot ( not hurting anyone you hit) but if you need to take them out of the fight with one shot .45 proven in battle. Maybe someday your flimsy wrist will hold up to a 45

How many tic tacs does it hold? I have 13+1. I suppose your 22 ummm I mean 40 is what 30 or so.

Sigh...About what I expected. On that note, I do believe I want to get a pair of pink handcuffs. Also, it is 16+1 (no, I dont have the LEO mags). . .

Also, I shoot by quantity, not quality

are you using the stock mag w/ the sks? Are the rounds slid all the way to the back of the mag? Is the shell ejecting, or is it staying in the chamber?

]The shell doesn't fully eject I have two magazines been told may be the spring is weak. But it will do it with both of them trying to post damn video but won't work

How long have you had the SKS? This a new issue or a persistent one? My carbine was jamming after every couple of shots, so I gave it to Howells for a thorough cleaning and chamber polishing. Shoots pretty well now.
